On another note , I too would love to see an Merican on a CHina bike in the Baja , but they MUST produce something that will make an American want to do it . I am sure allot of the potential clients/riders of these bikes KNOW that China can build a competitive bike , ONCE . But can they keep parts for an American market bike that can actually compete in the market once they sign themselves over to a China sponsored team to race the bikes ???? I think Americna riders are kinda loyal to Japan Sponsorship or KTM and Husky in that arena and are hard pressed to feel any different if China doesn't step up to the plate , BIG TIME . That's just my opinion . I ask myself if I were still racing if I would go to a China bike to race ??? I doubt it Carl . Not yet at least . They have come a long ass way I give them that, but they have to race on Sunday ( and WIN ) and sell on Monday and it aint happened yet .
I honestly do not know if it ever will either in this Americna market Carl ??
American riders and consumers remember stuff very well , and China's lapse of bussienss judgment or lack of good bussiness market practice here in the states with quality control issues have tainted their reputation so bad with people it may NEVER come around here Carl . Even if there bikes are cheaper it won't help the underlying issue of quality and parts availability here .
Its a little sad, but its a little true also Carl . I think it is that is ...
