two chinese reg'd bikes available in germany

This sounds like an incredible trip!

I'm also thinking of doing a trip like this when my time in China ends next July. From looking at their blog (BTW, Google does an understandable job of translating to English) it sounds like they had a friend fly from Europe to meet them for the trip. How did he manage to legally drive in China, and to get a bike with papers that he could take over the borders? I have a friend who would like to meet me to do the same.
