Re: Any decent pit bikes for slamming round forests?
I suggested Pitster because their OEM is Shuopu in China and they have many distributors around the world for both people above (one in China and the other in Bulgaria). I think SSR have a fantastic reputation and quality as far as the hundreds of youtube videos go, but I don't know who their OEM in China is, and I think they are only here in the US. Personally, because of price, I would go for SSR as I find the Pitster Pro bikes a little expensive...

Yep, Pitster pit bikes seem to cost as much as a "regular" bike :)

Not sure which country's Pitster prices you are looking at, but in the US, their pitbikes don't have competition from the mainstream brands since no mainstream brands make pitbikes, as far as making small bikes that will support adults (yes, the big brands have kid's bikes, but those won't support adults without modifications). Their reputation is definitely NOT Chinese. But the US being the US with someone always trying to undercut you, along came SSR with their pitbikes at far lower cost. Judging by the numerous positive videos on youtube, either SSR have a whole slew of friends willing to lie for their quality, or they, too, make high quality bikes, but at far lower cost than Pitster. I have yet to see anyone put them down, and this in the land of people who were very anti-Chinese bike a few years ago when it came to full-size bikes, and posting numerous videos trashing the Chinese bikes. Pitster don't have too many videos, probably because no one can afford their bikes...
