i'll attend the EICMA and am anxious to check any single stand, either bikes or part/accessories
with regard to benelli and swm, I saw the bikes at my mechanic shop as he's also a seller
Benelli BN 302 is nice and well equipped (double front disk and huge tyres, good suspensions and good torque/speed) but I cannot conceive a new motorcycle in 2015 without an (even optional) ABS and a 300 cc that weighs 190 kgs................nonetheless, it did pretty good in a comparative test with Kawa Z300 and KTM 390 Duke
the BN 251 single cylinder with his 150 kg could also be an interesting buy around 3000 euros
SWM..........boy it looks gorgeous and I am waiting to try it on a test ride, either the 500 and 650 motard...............too bad they don't do the 300 4-stroke motard as well
right now they are priced from 6200 to 6500 euros
i'll try to get as many pics and news as I can and share them on here as soon as am back
Last year in Milan Husqvarna presented their Vitpilen 401, this year it’s their Vitpilen 701. These concept motorcycles are sharing engines from the Duke 390/690.

Weeell, this thing makes me aproximately speechles – that is when I think one question: why? :lol8:
It’s a concept bike, the final production models, if the Pilens are ever brought to production, will look different. For example, they do not have directional signals or a mounting for a licenses plate.
The design is from Kiska, Pierer Industries design house.

The 690cc single is the most powerful single cylinder engine in production. The original or inspiration of the 401 and 701 is the 1960 Silver Arrow.

That is like a statement of modern art of engineering. Yet not my bike. I appreciate the old school engineering discipline, which is design it to be cheap, simple, and reliable.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts...
Pierer Industries also owns Moto Italia, they also recently acquired a part of the CEGEKA Group out of Belgium. That acquisition was of Brain Force which is an IT service provider. The Pierer group comes off as very fluid and dynamic. They now own an IT solution provider, I suspect that should improve costs of process management since it is all IT driven and certainly the highest cost part of the process.
