some random phone pics from todays Ducati relocation party, nice big showroom / service centre they have going now....
This means they closed down the shop under the North-South Elevated just north of Yan'an Lu?
Here's a map if anyone is thinking of heading up there. Looks like less than 10 minutes' walk from Zhenbei Lu station on Metro line 13.
cheers!
Yes, closed in January 2013 and the Ducati service centre near the H-D Shanghai (Puxi Showroom) shut down as well and moved into the new Ducati dealership during CNY.
HOG shop, aka H-D Shanghai (Puxi Showroom) just a few blocks away (10-15min. walking distance from new Ducati store).....
Ducati Panigale Tricolore
This post of mine isn't a Ducati Chinapost, but this video is fun to watch anyway. Enjoy!!!
Cycle World rides the Roland Sands Design Desmo Tracker on the street and on a dirt oval. How high will this Duc fly? Read the full story in the December, 2011, issue. Enjoy the noise and hear Roland describe how the bike came to be.

took a visitor and fellow biker to various Shanghai bike shops this morning, Ducati's are just a work of art, some pics...
That's a beautiful showroom! It's nice to see that bike bikes are getting more recognition in China. Hopefully it will encourage Larger capacity Chinese machines in the future.
Noice! Every time I see one of those bloody Multi's though, I just about wet myself... they sure are lookers... of course though better not say anything about the prices here in TIC fairyland...
no wait, not fairyland - thats too dreamy, um, let's see... the badlands perhaps?
Nope make that, the fadlands or if you will, the mAdLaNdS!
They are truly awesome fun.....
Some more Shanghai pics.... Was told the newly opened Ducati Shanghai dealership is the second biggest in Asia and must admit, they have done a very good job with a spacious service department attached (bikes in service viewable through large glass windows).
The KL / Malaysia one is apparently the biggest Ducati showroom in Asia, don't know ~ never been, was impressed by the Singapore Ducati dealership, especially the two road registered Ducati Desmosedici 2008 they had on display in the shop area.
Ducati Monster 795 unveiling at the Shanghai Ducati showroom today....
Ducati Beijing (Goldenport Circuit) dealership pics taken a few weeks ago, the BJ Ducati dealership is relocating soon, stay tuned for a new shop launch around August - September...
Ducati Monster stunt bike in Shanghai owned by Ducati China...
I tried to go to that but got confused about the new location - so missed it...:confused1: Are you going to do the safety course DRE 2013 at the end of July? Don't have my Duc here, but it looks like it would be fun....unless of course it is aimed at the real beginners.
this website answers all our questions quite clearly: http://www.ducati.com/ducati_riding_..._/dre_china.do
I thought the M400 approach Ducati took was interesting, they took the existing M600 engine and reduced its bore and stroke, they did that to gain access to markets that presented pricing penalties for engines over 400cc. They did not find that effort fruitful, the M400 engine the same as the M600 in parts but the actual 400 bike was different, particularly the exhaust.

I believe that in 1997 Hondas response to the M400 in Japan was succinct.
