oh that is nice and a micron those are rare now the companies been dead for 2 years nowif you can get it, keep it clean and it will sell for the same price as you got it looks in mint condition that
how much do you think i should offer him its got 2 bids and 8 days left i dont want someone else to pick it up from him before then
you can always make him a offer via the questions area i would say £70 asking but dont bid £70 just incase the interest boosts up and it gets up to stupid price
yeah i think il wait a few days and see what it gets to then make him and offer and see how it goes, uve been a big help here mate thanks alot
good idea just check it every once in a while and no problem mate if you need any other tips just ask
well in the distant future i wanna get the bigger gold forks which are on the ccm sm 125 and the wheels too, i want to add a back box, hand guards an aftermarket headlight although i dont want it to have the dim bulbs and also id like to know if different shaped plastics would fit my bike, i would love to get the plastics from the pulse adrenaline although i havent got a clue if they would go on, oh and while your online if you know much about chain tension and sprockets i have to keep tightening mine every couple weeks as it keeps becoming slack and i dont want to go ahead and buy a chain and sprocket kit if it turns out that the parts are not the problem, any advice? and dont worry about answering all of that its just a summary of everything i want done which il probably end up adding to when i get a bit of experience behind me and also other members might have knowledge on specifics ive just mentioned :) thanks again :D
aha yh the gold forks do look nice on the SM model but might be costly since the only scrapper ones are normally head on collisions meaning there mucked up anyway, handguards do look nice on the TL my firend fitted them on his one mate a hell of allot of difference if you are riding in the winter.
different shape plastics best i can think of is trying to find a rebadged and rebodied version of your bike as the fitment will be the same the TL compared to the adrenaline is a very thin bike.
as long as your battery is 12 volts the headlight shouldnt be dim unless theres a wiring fault. polisport make some proper nice headlights this is my personal favorite and a huge hit over in finnland
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Polisport-Halo...item20bafc0c80 the colour plaque comes in all different colours depending on what you want.
on the cahin tension it could be very bad adjusters that arent a good fit to each other threads might be abit damaged only fix i can think off isnt particulary safe one it requires using loctite on the bolts to keep them in place also the quality of the bolts might mean they snap when you try to take them apart if you do this good idea to get better chain adjusters just to test the theory of it being the adjusters them selves.
im not too sure on how to go about finding a rebodied version would i just look for bikes with the cg engine? and does that mean the plastics for the would fit xl125 im not sure what exactly to go by and if i was to take the bike to a mechanic do you think he would be able to tell me the problem with the chain and how to fix it?
hmm a mechanic i would be abit iffy around one since most are there just to rip you off make sure its a mate or someone youve known well that way you'll get a honest answer to how and what the real cost is to rectify the fault.
trying to find a rebodied one i would slowly skimm through this catalogue to find anything similiar
http://www.chinamotorworld.com/products.asp?ty=4 its allot fo pages but would be easier than doing wildly variable searches for one
ok doing that now, what do you think the chances are of me finding anything?
abit slim i would say because most rebranded bikes dont bother changing the plastics just the decals probably best to leave it until tomorrow or something
yeah theres the kinlon sm200 zennco yb125 loncin jl200gy they are the only exact matches iv found but theyr all the same plastics, im away now been doing research on this all day so il catch you another time mate thanks again for all your help :) if you get bored or something id appreciate you having a look into those rebranded bikes to see if u can find an extensive list of parts/mods cheers and bye for now
if there isnt any rebodied versions of your bike there isw another way to get a completely different lookk to your bike that is to complete take all the plastics off buy a set from another bike but this will require you making custom brackets that are even making the plsaticcs fit snug and look right on your bike most people do this with MX plastics
yeah i would like to do that although im not sure where to start and not sure what i could get that would work, any advice?
hmmm most things like this i see are of kawasaki KDX's being fitted with Kx panels you could see if you like the look of a CRF450 or something like that up to you really what you want a MX look or a more well finished supermoto look
i like that design do you think it would be possible to alter my bike with those? oh and by the way i spoke to kinlon and they dont ship to the uk only australia "/
i think the rear could work nicely but where the front tank covers are bolted on will need quite abit of fabricating to make the brackets unles to merge the pieces into the tank with fibre glass depends on how good your fabrication skills are
would the acerbis crf450 kit fit? i have no fabrication experience whatsoever and id rather the supermoto look but unfortunately i dont think unless someone tells me something will work without too much diy i dont think il be able to get any different ones
also why is the crf450 keep being mentioned im just curious as its a different shape bike a bigger bike and i cant see any resemblance :s
well a CR125 would be very thin comparably to your bike so i was thinking of a honda that is allot more robust and longer lasting than the 2 stroker it is quite a iffy job if you dont have to much fabrication knowledge. changing the plastics for another bikes one is always going to involve some tinkering to how its mounted on the bike. iv only done a job like this twice and these where due to production faults on those two bikes.
ok thanks for that i think il scrap the plastics changing although i would like to use some rear side plastics that go over the can like on the supermotos, do u think that would be a big task?
shouldnt be too much of a job, did any of those companies get back to you about replacement plastics?
ive spoke to ccm about plastics they wanted 130 for the headlight fender and the two rear side fenders and they had no tank side plastics so that was a waste of time, i am guna ring back and ask about the tank side plastics for the sm model as theyr the same with different stickers, kinlon only supply australia and im waiting to hear back from the guys with the parts for the zennco on their site although theres no prices "/ if this turns out to be a no go i think il have to look into getting the ones i have on fixed
headlight fender is that the mudguard or headlight unit itself? and yh cant blame yah could just get them fixed and spray em up and put your own decals on them iv seen a CCM sm 125 finished in lamborghini white its for sale somewhere on the internet
the headlight unit sorry and iv just spoke to ccm again there and the sm model has just been changed so the tank panels are different but hes took my details and hes gona give me a ring if they get them in im expecting it to be about £100 though so il probably not even get them just hoping this zennco website emails soon with prices and stuff
got a reply from zennco, sorry for the absence ive been away to amsterdam for a couple days, ive got a list of prices here but to be honest if i was to renew them i think il wait until i have everything else sorted first, that exhaust on ebay is now £41 + p&p with over 4 days left so im expecting it to go abit beyond my price range, would it definately fit my bike?
Plastics prices:
MBW Part No - 1027 Front Left side panel Right side panel £64.99
MBW Part No - 1028 Right Front side panel Rear panel (left) £64.99
MBW Part No - 1025 Rear Side panel (left) £54.99
MBW Part No - 1026 Right rear side panel £54.99
MBW Part No - 1029 Front Mudguard £34.99
MBW Part No - 1031 Rear Mudguard £39.99
Delivery £8.99
not bad for that sort of exhaust especially since there arent any more only thing to make it might just to add washers when you bolt her on to stop it being tweaked or move about
im expecting the price to shoot up within the next 4 days though how much do you think its worth?
personally i would expect £80-£120 ish not bad for what it is but its your decision on where you hold ground on its price should see how many views its had that might indicate if it'll shoot up or hover around the current mark atm
