According to Pioneer's Chinese site, their XF 250 uses a GS250 engine
http://www.xfmotor.com.cn/en/250s/XF250GY.html
Looks identical--is the GS250 engine a reliable powerplant?
Somebody/Something is wrong... The motor should be the TU250, not the GS250. They are both reliable and very similar, but the engine in the Pioneer XF250GY is a TU250 and the picture from MJH above is a GS250 ???
:confused1:
Cheers!

That image is a link to Suzuki’s website, it’s the engine in the Grass Tracker, the images itself is a hyper link click on it and it pulls up the details of the engine.
The reason I posted it is so people can see the notation that the engine made in Japan is SCEM. Even though the engines are from the same designs they are different in that respect.
The engine manufactured by Qingqi is the same engine design used in the TU250/ST250 and Grass Tracker 250, with the exception that the engines that are manufactured in Japan have (SCEM)coated cylinders.
The ST and TU are the same, named differences are for marketing or it is named differently for certain markets. It is a ST250 in Japan and comes in lots of different versions/styles. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_x32qR39vo3...st250_cafe.jpg http://www1.suzuki.co.jp/motor/bigbo...mg/top_img.jpg

Pioneer 250 also called Mastiff 250

Considering that the XP250 being presented through SSR is related to the 250 models coming out of Suzuki and that Qingqi Group is a licensed Suzuki partner…were is the shop manual for the motorcycle? Is it absent because nobody is willing to write one? It is actually required in any realm of support isn’t it?
Does not seem so difficult to publish considering that the Suzuki version certainly have shop manuals and then it is only a matter of following the format of the Suzuki Manuals and accounting for the differences between them. The same for a parts list and also an owners manual.
Proper documentation? What comes first the chicken or the egg? If they want to gain sales then they should consider that of offering proper documentation and also access to proper documentations. When avoiding what is due diligence they are actually avoiding sales…some will not touch what has something obviously necessary missing.
If proper documentation exists…that encourages confidence to purchase. It is worth the trouble, it actually reduces trouble later on, it can be called being proactive and in that reduces the need to be reactive later. That being addressing owners that are missing what they obviously needed in the first place.
I don't know if we discussed this on a different thread, but since it is Qingqi related, Pitster Pro of Canada (I believe Visionary Motorsports is the official PP distributor for Canada) are now stocked with the XTR200X. For those of you with a Konker, and worried about direct-ordering parts, as well as those who did not get around to buying a Konker, this should come as a relief!

The bike on the web site is not a 200 but a 250. The specs are correct, however. Well, except for this; Adjustable inverted fork. As you know, culcune, China Riders has a picture of actual bike being assembled. http://www.chinariders.com/modules.p...wtopic&t=14070
I was in a Qingqi dealer (Beijing) a couple of days ago and saw the "new" 200cc with fuel injection. I think it was called the 200GY-FI, but I don't really remember, and sorry, I did not take any pics.
I tried to find the bike on the Qingqi website, to no avail.
Anyone know about this bike in China? It seemed to be pretty much identical to the workhorse 200GY, aside from fancy new paint.

I think these are photos that ChinaV had taken of it of it in 2010...
I just got an update from a representative at the Pioneer factory in china that the estimated delivery time for the XF250GY is two month out....mid July 2012 :(
I coincidentally spoke with one of SSR's salesman today who vaguely said the end of May is the expected date for the bikes, while the 'California' CARB models won't be available until July. I am leaning more towards with your information based on other brands' offerings coming much later than stated (i.e Qlink's roll-out of Qingqi's XF/XP 200s). I am happy they build anticipation for months and months, but sometimes I wonder if it would be better to start showing products once they are able to sell them maybe a few weeks ahead--once they have a solid date set up? Look at Qlink's site showing the Shineray-built MT250 (including currently), and this has been shown for over 1 year, maybe 2?! Look at CCW and their 'Da hooligun'. Both bikes have not come to market after long periods of anticipation, although at least CCW acknowledged their issues. JP Motorsports never did advertise their bringing the Qingqi Liger 250 over--it just showed up one day on their site!! I do hope that SSR does get these bikes.
On another topic related to SSR/Pioneer XF200 and XF250, the sales guy stated that the bikes will be offered in both 17" motard tires and the 17" knobbies, no matter if you by the 200 or the 250; you will get to choose which tires you want. I wonder if they will let you buy the other set of tires? Colors will be the same, so you can buy a black 250cc or an orange 200cc bike. I don't think they have the best paint jobs, but what can you do? Personally, I think the Pitster version of the Qingqi bike has the best paint scheme, but again, beggers can't be choosers...
I expect delays, I have an eighteen month no interest credit card ready when they are.
I sent and email to SSR, I just found the response a week later in my spam.
Asked: "when will the 250 dual sports be available?”
The response:
“Probably within next two months, so far, we haven’t got any updates yet, but feel free to contact us again around august. Thank you! =))”
Anticipated Chinese bikes seem to be one huge delay! Thats the problem with putting dates on your website...on the other end of the coin is when companies put "coming soon" or "TBD" and the bikes never arrive such as Qlink and the water-cooled Shineray.
Here are some photos of the Sinnis Apache 250, Sinnis is the brand name Jinan Qingqi uses in the UK.
The Pioneer models do not offer all the better bits, the gauges on the Apache 250 are semi digital and the brakes are improved as well. The body parts are marginally different as well. Those images were uploaded to Flikr on 02/27/2012 and the model has yet to be released into the UK market.
Pulse is another brand that sells a 125cc version as a Adrenaline 125, these look to be sourced out of Pioneer which operates under the same World Manufacturing Identifier as Jinan Qingqi, their shared WMI is LAE.
Jinan Qingi Motorycle Co., Ltd lost 45.09% of production from November 2011 to November 2012. From Total production November 2011 of 241,085 to November 2012 production of 132,377.
Representing losses of 66M RMB for the previous year to 111M RMB for 2012.
Representing a downward four year ongoing trend, Qingi is the 37th largest producer of motorcycles in china.
Qinqi is invested in this company...

Question:
Is the online database of on highway motorcycles with EPA certificates complete?
Certified Highway Motorcycle Test Result Report Data (XLS) (275K, November 2012)
http://www.epa.gov/otaq/crttst.htm
I am attempting to verify that a certain model motorcycle has an EPA certificate.
I believe this is the OEM and has the WMI of LAE.
ftp://ftp.nhtsa.dot.gov/mfrmail/ORG672.pdf
The manufacturer is here.
http://www.ssrmotorsports.com/store/...duro-index.htm
Above is their website and the bike I am interested in purchasing, but need to make sure they have a EPA certificate as they are delivered untitled and only with an MSO.
They claim they are but I would like to verify that claim through the EPA and am not able to since the vehicle is not listed in the data. Was it approved after November 2012?
Thanks

I am looking for verification that the SSR XF250 listed on your website and being sold through your sales network has an 2013 EPA certificate.
The bike is not on the list published by the EPA? The 2013 list is dated November 2012?
http://www.epa.gov/otaq/crttst.htm
If the bike is not on the list and actually has a certificate, then it not being listed will hurt its sales.
I would like verification from the EPA that the bike has been issued a EPA certificate.
If I have to take an MSO to a title bureau I am not interested in hearing a clerk tell me that they cannot verify the bike is legal! I have to know it is before I ask to have it registered.
I actually want one of these and am kind of annoyed that the bike is not on the EPA list of approved models for 2013, the emails are an attempt to get confirmation in writing from the EPA that the bike does in fact have a 2013 EPA certificate.
I struggle with the idea that anyone would sell a bike claiming it has an EPA certificate and it does not. It may be that the bikes application was processed after the list was published. But I need to know that from the EPA.
It took a year for these to finally come around, almost a year since they were first advertised.
The people selling them really should try harder, do more, online parts lists and servicing specification are if anything confidence building for those considering purchasing one.
I am not interested in taking pictures or trying to match pictures with parts, I am not interested in calling for parts I actually do not want to talk to anyone if I buy online.
I do not like claims I cannot see, I want to see the owners manual and parts list online in a PDF I can print.
I will pay for a shop manual.
They really need to import a lot and sell the shit out of the bikes for them to be successful.
It appear all the bikes come with 17” rims and can be ordered with either street or dirt tires.
They also seem to have colorized plastic in either white , black or orange.
They also blacked out the engines, I'd like to see some close-ups of the treatment.
The bikes all come with less then the last generation brakes, disks front and rear.
The bikes all come with a limited 6 month warranty which is parts only.
There are no clear and easily accessible parts lists online you have to go through the vendors and or Taobao, which has lots of spares for those.
I think they are cool as hell...I really want one.

Hello,
Yes our XF200 and XF250 both have 2013 EPA. The Certificate number is DSSRC0.24EDS-003.
We received our EPA right around the time the list was updated so that’s probably why it was not on there. Let us know if you have any further questions.
Thank You,
Michael Leija

Information request.
Hello,
Could you please provide me with the related information pertaining to this EPA certificate for a Highway motorcycle it is DSSRC0.24EDS-003 and for the calendar year 2013.
I received the certificate number from the manufacturer, however I would like confirmation and the related details of the certificate from the EPA.
I have checked the online database and it is not there?
http://www.epa.gov/otaq/crttst.htm
I would like the same information as offered in the database, it may have been added after the list was published in November 2012.
Your agency may want to consider updating the published list as it is not complete.
Thank You.
