Praying for them to make the 250-510 4 stroke enduro models from the "red head" days. I need me some new parts :p Italian era Huskies are starting to be hard to get parts for.

Check with GasGas (yes, it sounds weird, I know). They bought the "red-head" engine technology and are trying to plant them in their bikes.
This is the gasgas ec315 concept, the first result of husqvarna varese red head technology bought by gasgas, the head turns black this time.http://xoffroad.dueruote.it/bc_news/...analeuscita=-1
So the bikes are here. You can get them in China now at a "reasonable" price. They are still more expensive then in Europe yet cheaper then other European brands so I say "reasonable". Being basically rebranded Husqvarnas its not as bad as KTM here ;) (KTM 690 enduro starts at RMB145000)
The 650 is RMB73800
The 500 is RMB69800
The 300 is RMB65800
I didnt ask about the other bikes. There is this 440cc classic that is made in China so its much cheaper.
here is the website
Got one :-) .... a RS500R
After registration i will remove all things that limit the performance.
But first throttle limiter and O2 sensor as well as kind of de...fumigation box for gasoline is needed for the register test.
I will put a Karoo3 on it as the original MX tires are not really road suitable. ... And I will have maybe 75% road travel

You got one just today?
I didnt know about them being in China at the time when I bought my X5. Now I started to think about selling the shineray and getting the RS500R
No i bought it last Week already. It is in registration process now.
I watched them since last year summer, but back then they had only 650 Super motos.

Nice! Waiting for your review then, although it is, most likely, going to be good as are all the other reviews.
... I will give my X2 into good experienced hands...
So I am ready for a replacement.

The SM500R makes me want to sell all my bikes so I can have one.
i got myself a brand new swm motard 500 few days ago
before getting it, the dealer took off all limitations on power and it should have almost 51 cv now
very huge jump ahead compared to my former bike (drz 400 sm Suzuki) and quite a bargain at 6000 euros (it was the last unsold 2016 model, euro 3 emission tag and no ABS, but who the heck cares...........)
will post my opinions after my first 1000 kms...............first service at 250 as on user manual
Took the RS500R home. Tires have been changed to Metzeler Karoo3 Dualsport. Nice smooth road feeling. Removed all restricting items, ~52HP.
Next steps:
- get handle bar risers as for my height, 186cm, its bit low (2 - 3 cm)
- design and build a small luggage rack and maybe some larger carrier for travel use
- potentially changing head light to HID
( I am spoiled of on my modified X2)
- find some other mirrors ( IMO the standard design is horrible)
Pics will follow ....

What restrictions does it have? Throttle limiter? ECU? I thought there are no limitations here.
I wonder because I most likely will get that bike just not yet. My Mrs. would mutilate me if I bought 2 bikes in space of 4 months hah
Hungry for pictures.....
p.s. I broke a mirror on my X5 and I replaced them with this one. Very convenient, big and clear. Shake more than the standard ones though, because of the plastic hinges, I guess.
Good luck with the new bike.
Karoo 3 good choice of tyres BikerDoc loves them on his BMW.
With luggage rack on some side racks to take some soft bags, you are good to go.
Dont forget about a lager horn and with a HID and maybe some well located led sports lights would be nice.
This type of bike IMO is the way to go for trips in China
Take a look at the Kawasaki Versys or BMW range of mirrors not going to be cheap but are well made,
Thanks for the input. A big Horn will be put definetely in my list!
The mirrors I will check out.
I also loved the Karoo3 on my GS, but the rear one was done after 4k km. I had too much road percentage during its deployment. However it feels very good.

Unmodified SWM RS500R with Metzeler Karoo3 tires
Hi ShuBen
Just some advise please because you know the Shineray range.
In kunming at a Shineray dealer.
Looking at a new model called the Shineray 250cc X Trail bike.
Was told by the dealer just came out on the market.

What do you know about this bike .
Cheers
Have not seen this bike yet. From the photos it looks like air cooled. I remember that they sold a bike looking very similar to the X2. So I assume this here is a spin off with some new fairing and luggage system.
Will try to find more about it.
I am curious now....

On the Russian website www.mot-o.com I found some more pics. The bike I mentioned above was / is an air cooled 250 with a horrible big beak and they named it 150 some thing a fooled the authority for emission reasons for registration.
I think that is the base for this X trail.

Yes that's make sense because at the back on the side panels there was some stickers with their codes with 150 in them I then asked the dealer is it a 250cc ?
Yes he said.
By the way it was 8800 Rmb ?
Had to have one pick it up Monday.
Thanks for the input.
For 8.8k you will have to have a very careful eye on all details.
My lowest concern would be the engine. I suggest special attention to frame, fork, suspension and cable routing.
.... and of course keep loctide at hand 😁

Yes for sure need to keep a eye on all the bolts lol
Bike was purchessed so a USA friend could ride from kunming to Beijing heading north west up the nice route through the mountains.
So we only need it to last 4000 km or so.
Did look at the Suzuki GW250 and the GW250F
But these bikes cost 23.000 and 25.000 rmb .
So when we see the Shineray 250 X-Trail for 8800 it was a no brainer IMO.
Hope to get a buyer in Beijing for the 3 week old bike ?
If no luck I said I give him 4000 RMB for the bike So for me it's a cheap run around .
Thanks for the tips.
Maybe invest some RMB in an acceptable chain. That avoids 20x chain adjustment on your 4k km 😁

Thanks good advise.
Today I re fueled the RS500R.
In fully open condition it used 6.4L /100km 😱 .... Must buy a gas station.
OK, I am not what one calls passive rider, but...
I will do 2 more refilling rounds in this condition and then re install the O2 sensor and see what's happen then.
Just read it would reduce power by about 5% but also optimize fuel consumption.
Let's find out

Wow ....
I could understand if you was riding in track races and the need to beat the guy next to you.
But already the bike is not slow and with the tank size not being the bigger tank in the world put the CO2 sensor back in IMO and home your riding skills.
There is more to being the fastest kid on the block then just power :riding:
Is it a 7.2 L Tank ..
So you talking about maybe 120km tank range.?
Wow...... need to think about a bigger tank.
Sounds like a very nice bike.
As I understand from reading my current setup is the race setup.
So I shouldn't be too much surprised.
..... And for riding style, yeah I should stay sober, but it feels like having a bicycle on steroids 💪😁
