CCW tha Heist

Just to double verify, the tubing coming out of the bottom of the carb...it doesn't get attached anywhere? It just kind of hangs at the bottom of the bike, same on my brothers. I'm sure that's how it's supposed to be, but I like being absolutely sure. I was doing some general maintenance last night and just noticed that it just kind of hangs and doesn't really attach to anything.

We have a golf outing at work today, so I brought it in to work since I didn't have to suit up. I'm more excited to ride the bike to/from work/golf than to actually golf (probably because I don't like golf)

Yeah that's the drain hose for the float bowl hanging there. There a screw on the other side of the carb, if you turn that screw the fuel in the bowl empties through that hose.

hehe going pretty well, thanks for the information. i've said it before and i'll say it again, not mechanically inclined, but I'm not opposed to learning either. Gotta ask questions to get information. That's why I love these boards, full of knowledge.

I'm well past the break-in mark, everythings running really well. Just an absolute pleasure to ride. Still getting lots of looks/inquiries too. Just had a guy at the gas station last night taking a hard look and inquiring about it.

I've got a few ideas for mods I'd like to make, lighting, tank graphics, etc. Might be doing those in august after my honeymoon

Lol. Sonofabitch! Changing my oil and left the key in the bike, ran in for a soda for all of 2 minutes.... you guess the rest. Nahhhh, Luckily nobody stole the shit wizard. yet. Someone Heisted my key! little punks! I know I live in the city but damn! I'm thinking some little punk wanted the awesome lowbrow customs keychain. Lots of kids around here and I'm sure I'll dig up the perp eventually.

Anyway the shizzzwizz is locked back up in the garage with fresh oil, removed the keyswitch all together disco'd the batt. Have a new keyswitch I'll get sorted out tomorry.

Man, haven't been in this thread since right around the time I bought my bike. Looks like things are moving along nicely in here and there's some new heist riders amongst us. I'm getting an oil change in tomorrow and lubing up the chain. Then me and my pops are riding all day tomorrow. I gotta say, so far I'm really liking the LED tail light I installed a few days ago. It definitely is brighter than stock and seems a little more solidly built. My brother and I had the same problem with our stock tail lights. Seems as though the mount that hold the bulb inside is prone to breaking off inside causing the bulb to fling around freely and break. Just something to keep an eye on guys. Safety first!

I got the bare knuckle bars put on the bike and some bar end mirrors on there way. Only running one though. Also swapped speedo to a mph unit that was mentioned earlier in the thread and mounted it to the bars, accidentally broke an idicator light so I went ahead and took the whole chrome assembly off and am going to make something and reroute the lights. Also going to start getting rid of the chrome all around :)

Noce MK2 lets see some pics when you are done, hell even before that

like i said work in progress. mounted the speedo on the middle of the bars with the bar clamp it came with. just ordered some led lights so i can start to reroute my indicator lights. aslo thinking of ordering the verticle side mount plate bracket without the brakelight attached to it. instead i am going to run led light bolts and the round ford tailight on the fender rather than the cats eye on it now. getting pretty excited on seeing all the stuff i can do to make the bike "mine" :)

yeah.... just need to find where to mount my led lights when they come. got bolt lights so we'll see. probably end up making a bracket to mount where that chrome plate was if nothing else comes to mind. REALLY can't wait to get rid of the mirrors! should be wednesday or thursday when my new one gets here. i'll post up pictures as i get things done.

well one of the mods I was looking at (the LED tail light) got pushed up. As my brother stated, there's an issue with the quality of the stock tail light and the inner bulb mount breaking pretty easily, both his and mine broke within a week of each other with about the same about of mileage on it (just shy of 1,000 miles). The LED tail light looks great though and is definitely brighter than the stock, but it's also lower profile, so I'm not sure how well traffic will respond, I've only be out once since I got it and it was all country roads.

My running light on my headlight seems to have gone too (though the filament is still intact?) High beam works fine, hoping the bulb is just bad, but won't know until I can find a replacement bulb. Does anyone have a part number? I checked our local bike shop and they couldn't find a similar bulb, I was told to check NAPA, but I'd like a part number before I go in to cut down on the search. I found one that looks close on ebay:

That LED in CCWs shop looks nice, wires and bolts right on. no muss no fuss. Looks small, but LED's are really bright. Another option would be a beefier (less plastic) DOT light from any MC shop.

Do you have a local china scooter shop? They may have the headlight bulb and maybe even a few custom options for it. Maybe even the Mag drain plugs as well.

I got my MDP from John on here at 233. Came quick and with a few goodies as well. Being a Heist dealer, he can probably even get you the LED light at the same time.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll have to see if they have any magnetic 12mm x 1.50 plugs, if not I'll be ordering from fleabay

I should have specificed (more clearly) that I do have the LED tail light installed now. It was a breeze to install, had to drill new holes in the plate though since the standard holes didn't fit right. My brother had already put his on, so he just stopped by and lended a hand, I'd say we had it installed within 10 minutes (if that)

Those don't have the fancy paint job and you wont go as fast.

Seriously the only difference is the paint or the lack of. From the picture of it holding the wrench, it should do just fine.

Looks like my speed issues may not of existed at all if the speedo on the Toyota we are using is right. I got up to 63-65mph on my bike but my woman said I was pushing her over 70mph. Didn't think that would be the case but it is a chinese part.

I Chopped and wrapped My Pipe! Sounds Tuff!! Odometer is reading 293, got it with 6 on it. My A** is KILLING Me! Im 6ft 185lbs, if I adjust the seat loose it bottoms out, tight My ass gets busted. I like the look of springs but want the comfort of an Airbag, what to do? Think Ill start by getting seat re-done???
