Took her for a run on the Dragon. Great day for a ride.
Hello Sir; About 6 months ago I was looking to buy a small motorcycle, and noticed you posts here and that other forum (ADV...I think). After some thought and investigation (and a sale over at "megamotomadness" July 4th special) - bought the same said Sidcar/1969 clone Z50a for 1100 (free shipping to my door). Wow the damn thing came fully assembeled, seems "solid enough". Got my MSO and Bill of Sale within 9 days (7 working days). Insurance under Gieco was easy - 5 minute deal, registration was a bit more involved - lady at counter was a b-eoch and said having an MSO/BoS for a bike was "highly irregular and she'd never seen it before" -talked to her boss in other room - boss seemed to think it was no big deal. got plate there and then, and title was mailed to me a week later . I'v yet to ride the thing though - been hotter than hell here in OK, and I have to sit outside to do the PDI check (thinking a few hours - waiting for it to cook off - geeze!
I did "build" a skin for the sidecar, add windscreen, mp3-speaker set, rubber horse-mat flooring, flag, seat-surround padding, and YOUR MARINE SEAT SIR - I found a post where you provided a link - nice sat BTW.
all that added 200 bucks more to the total cost of hack.
anyway - just wanted to thank you for telling us how you've liked - and that the bike has held up - the two years you've owned it - your posts have me the courage to make the same said leap. Hopefully I'll have similar luck.
you can see picts of my setup under a thread I started in the "tavern" section of the website - motorbicycling.com (site for folk with bicycles with motors on them (I have a 4-stroke "goped" (the "Flea Hopper"). no tag no reg no insurance and street legal - top speed 21 mph -- 600 miles on her now - cheap Chinese (not even manufacturer's name!) - but very reliable so far. simple oil change/check chain on occation. runs like a champ. kids lov my 70's style Yellow Happyface flag - lol
gaffo,
Neat job on your monkey hack.
I downloaded your photos and put them in the monkey hack thread here.

Took my CT70 clone to Blacksburg VA where we are babysitting my grandson. Fun bike to ride around town and out into the mountains.
She has good power for a 125cc bike.
Grandpa, it's about the time to fit extra pair of wheels.
