The carb throat bored out? I think you mean you had the head ported and polished. You've got some serious money tied up in that bike.

English for the nongearheads Gardo? My brother has mentioned that Weaver is selling modified carbs, wonder if it's worth it? I think he said the price was about $100. I can't imagine the jets are too much, so aside from saving the headache of a rejet, what would I gain?
Speaking of my brother, his bike is DOA. Won't even turn over currently :( parts are on their way to State 8 and they're going to work on it this week I believe. I started with a rattling from the clutch I believe. I'm hoping it's a one off issue and not widespread.
I did a lot of riding this weekend, lots of fun, I'll post pics later when I'm not on my iPad. Seems to be running pretty well with the new exhaust, I may not mess with the carb for a while yet, want to do some more reading, get comfortable with the process.
Barnone not that much at all, still under 4k, stock heist included, the most expensive thing on the bike is still the custom seat. i like to tinker with my toys :icon10:
Been learning a lot on these bikes and applying what i learned working on cars, from my father, towards it. mainly I'm just having fun with it all.
turner i had heard your brother had an issue and a new motor was sent out right away when i saw Brett and Al on Friday. i know it will all work out bud these guys stand by the product. Hell I wouldn't be surprised when they get the other engine back they tear it down and see what the issue was.
The Weaver standard carb upgrade is under $100 bucks. With a none stock or modified pipe you may need to increase the fuel flow to the engine so it will run smoother it really depends.
porting the head opens the flow of air to the engine, having the head milled will increase the compression and also add so HP
glad you are having fun with the bike man your brother will be up and running soon
great shots man, thanks for sharing. Diggin the helmet too.
What do you think of the ride?
The ride is great...when i first got the bike i had a problem with the tank and gas cap not making a proper seal, but KTMRacer got it all fixed and the bike is awesome. Did some adjusting of the forward controls tonight, as well as disabling the kickstand motor cut off. I did a 50 mile ride tonight and it was excellent! I love riding this thing...
Yeah I meant to mention I also disabled the kickstand kill and ended up adjusting the idle way down, too far down the first time. I had been out riding the first time I adjusted it, so I probably went too far down, because the next time I fired it up I had a hard time keeping it running, constant stalls, turned the screw to the right about a quarter turn and it's in the sweet spot now.
Here's when I was out at the lake yesterday:

I have no doubt they'll take care of my brother, but I still feel bad for him, you don't want your bike going dead after 3 weeks of ownership.
Turner - Bummer about your bros bike. Let us know how it goes man. If somethings going to happen, it's better to get it over early I guess.
Currently a 102 might need to bump to a 105 - having a blast really. Its all about seeing what I can transform my lil darlin into
