Midnight blue looks great.
The smog block eliminates the backfire?
Printable View
It seems to have less engine popping sound upon deceleration after its taken off...not backfire. has a cleaner look and starts easier without all the air.
u gotta admit it looks a whole lot better without it. someone asked me what that black dildo lookin thing hanging there was....i knew it had to go at that instant.
nice, might do that.
Here's a vid of the bike rev and the the crappy mirrors.

Firs time it back fired I looked down to make sure the family jewels aren't gonna suffer.
The smog injector pushed exhaust back into the intake side of the head which leans out the fuel air mixture, while re-burning some exhaust. This helps push the motorcycle through US emissions standards.A lean running condition(not enough fuel per molecule of air) causes back firing, hanging idle, and excessive engine temps in air cooled engines. The good thing about removing the the exhaust injection unit is,it fixes the lean running condition with stock carb jetting, reduces heat in the engine which equates to a longer life, and even the smog cops don't realize it's missing.
My new headlight is coming today. I can't wait! It's 4.25" instead of the 7.25" that is currently on the bike. Also, it's an H4 so it will be brighter. I am going to re-wire the complete headlight from the electronics box to the front of the bike with a heavier gage to prevent meltdown and carry a larger load. While I have the tank off I'm going to JB Weld the weak welds as posted earlier in this thread to prevent a future leak. Also, going to Kreem the tank to prevent rust and prolong the life of the carb. I will post pics as soon as the work is finished with install details.
Looking forward to the follow up. Will there be pictures?
