They say some lovely things about this bike. By going abroad for the best components they show a commitment to quality and reliability that bodes well for the Chinese industry, assuming others follow suit.
Aparently this bike is or is going to be marketed in France at least, by an outfit called SIDAM under the name "JH600 Rocane". If they bring it next door to Spain I'll get one...
Some of the lovely expressions include:
Engine developed by Austrian corporation AVL
Top clutch supplier FCC
Balancing shaft
Japanese DID chains
Q35 alloy steel frame
SHOWA Telescopic suspension.
Close loop electronic BOSCH injection
Stainless steel exhaust
SIEMENS instruments
Electronic anti-theft with bluetooth
Japanes TS seat made of genuine leather
20 litre fuel tank
Aluminium luggage rack
3 litre/100km fuel consumption (that's something like 78mpg US/ 94mpg UK)
Max torque 51 Nm/ at only 4500rpm.
Of course it will be slagged off by the usual suspects, with things like "BMW knock off" or "Only 40 HP...shame", "drop to bits in a week", etc, etc.
Forch,
Just for price reference, what would a Japanese o European ~600cc bike cost in Spain?
CC

Whats the cost of the JH600 in China?
I love the 600km range on a single tank, I have spend plenty of time worrying that I can make it the next gas station on long rides!
Is there any truth in the rumour that a dealer might be able to register and plate it for you and sell it to foreigners as "used" for a fee?
I've been quoted RMB 30,000 for the bike (solo). I don't remember if that included the plate or not. It seemed kinda gutless to me.

Chang-Jiang 750 FY (with sidecar) 1989 = 19.7 kW
Weight incl. oil, gas, etc; 350.0 kg (771.6 pounds)
Top speed = 110.0 km/h (68.4 mph)
BMW R75 = 37 kW
Unladen Weight with Full Tank = 400 Kg / 881 lb with original sidecar
Top Speed = 95 Kph (59 mph)
Jialing JH600 = 30KW
Weight incl. oil, gas, etc; 150-200KG (best guess)
Top speed = 160.0 km/h (99.4 mph)
So surely you don't mean the JH600 seemed sluggish compared to a sidecar?

Thats you Frank right behind me (making the face)

If the JH600 in solo format is gutless, it must be because of a badly mapped out injector. I would expect it to be a bit gutless compared to a BMW twin in sidecar format.

Are you talking the WWII R75 or the R75/5?

I'll bet it weighs a lot more than 200 kgs. Even the solo version would do nowhere near 160 top speed.
So surely you don't mean the JH600 seemed sluggish compared to a sidecar? It seemed sluggish for a 600cc dirt bike.
