you can go to 200cc i guess,its up to you what cc you want to bore it up to. maybe abit of porting will get abit more oomph out of the engine.

On the Lifan's site, in the engine section, there is a whole family of CG clones with dispalacement ranging from 125 to 230-250 cc, which differ in bore and stroke.
I'm waiting for an answer from "humabeing", is it possible to fit long stroke crankshaft (58-65 mm) on the engine whose stroke is 49.5 mm (125 & 150 cc).
As far as I understand, heads and valves are not too big expense. Probably the main problem is not price, but where to find them in the UK. Also, I do not know diameter of valves in your 125 cc engine yours. Maybe they are smaller than in 200 or 230 cc engines, so with increased displacement you would not get full power.
Anyway, we are waiting "humanbeing"...
