I plan on doing that soon. Filters are on their way but I'm still safe because I'm under 1000km which is when the manual says to change the filter or did I read that wrong? Change oil every 500 and filter every 1000?

I take it back! Now engine sounds a lot louder, Id say about 30-50% louder than before on mineral oil.Quote:

I didnt drain my oil, i just went to Yamaha dealer and mechanic there checked the level and corrected it a wee bit ( I had a little too much in there). But my engine sounds loud now, Im worried that its because Ive had too much oil in there (for about 300km) and Ive done some demage. Take it back to the shop and tell them it seems louder, they can check the compression.
