Today I tried page 1 of this thread again, and finally most of the embedded images loaded, - not all of them though. Using Firefox, as I had on the other occasions, just seems to take a long time to load, and if the images don't load within a timeframe then they don't at all. Anyway, able to view about 90-95% of the images, adds a great deal to the posts. Cheers!

Your experiences with extreme mud brought back some memories for me. RichKTM and I did a Guizhou tour on taxi bikes back in 2008 and that day of road under construction hell is what sticks in the mind!
