Another Highland pic. Highlands under test in Tunisia I think. Looks like they could do with some air in the tyres though.

I plan on trying to reach this company by telephone, and if these bikes are for sale, I will travel down there & take a look
I will let you guys (& gals) know what I find out
Let us know when you are going, there are a list of questions I would like to put to the new manufacturers. There will need to be some improvements made over the last model (or a drastic price reduction) if these bikes are going to sell.:deal:
I'm really looking forward to getting some serious info on the new model(s)
:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:
Luojia Highland TEL: +86 379 65111908

What happened with this motorcycle.
Lago888 did you ever get hold of them????
Lets hope there is some progress this New Year

:goodtime:
I'd never pay more than $6000 for a Chinese made bike, understanding the cost of the parts and labor, and the problems with quality control.
Now the Louija ad says from Sweden - I'm confused :confused1:

this one the Motard says from China

just got to be a typo is suppose
It looks good I think. :confused1:
It would be nice to get a non-distorted picture of it. :eek2:

Highland are still competing in the US with a 450 in AMA Super Moto classes. Martin Lind is the rider and I have heard that the bike is making very good power. No news on the 950 from Sweden except that the engine is going to be used in other sport vehicles too.
If anyone in the area near Louija Highland Motors could get a look see I for one would be very greatful. Everything seems very quiet now.
My Highland is still running great as a multi role bike and I hope to make some serious upgrades (not farkles) this year
Keep up the good work guys
Looks like the engine Martin Lind is using is made by Louija - if so this is the very forefront of single cylinder racing technology. A quantum leap for Chinese manufacture :naughty:

Highland seems to being making another effort, they have some private equity companies backing them.
Here are a few….
Grupo Vargas SA
Brookstone Partners LLC
Craigstone LTD
They invested 2.5M collectively in June of 2012.
Former HD executive John Fitzpatrick was named CEO in Sept 2011
Highland had operations in Asia they operated inside of Luoyang Northern Enterprises Group Co., Ltd (DAYANG )
At one time the Chinese had the Highland bikes listed and the 950 twin as well, not anymore.
Highland was touting Made in America, but some raised the question about the Asian operations and subsequently the listing of the 950cc twin was removed?
But it still can be found on the B2B sites advertised,

Yes Highland had some bikes made in China for a short time. The CEO moved from Sweden and set up in the USA Oklahoma I think. The CEO/founder was killed in a plane crash a couple of years ago.He gave up on China a long time a go.The bikes where/are made in America.Wouldn't surprise me if that business in China has some 950 twins sitting in the back of his factory.
