I plan to arrive in Shanghai on the 27th and stay through to the 1st or maybe even later.
Fred: If we can get one gathering organised between the two dates above then I'd be over the moon.
Dipstick: Will you have time on the 27th, 28th, 29th or 30th?
Those four dates are my proposals for days of the week. Someone local could help with a location choice though because soberpete in SH =:WTFamI
Euphonious: Are you still going on that trip on Thursday? I might not even get to see you :sad:.

Hey Pete, I'm usually using the Weather Channel app on my HTC, quite reliable throughout the round-China trip.
As I texted you today unfortunately we will not be available with Celine this Friday, so I do not know where that leaves you in terms of the trip... Once again, do not do it only for us, and especially if the forecast is rainy : it would be miserable to ride on East China under the rain with all the traffic, believe me, I know...
As I told you, I know for sure I'll do one day a round-UK trip on a nice British twin, we'll see each other again for sure !

Well guys, are we on or not for a no-bike night in Shanghai tomorrow Wednesday 27 June? Nobody has replied to my proposed location (downtown Big Bamboo), so I have no clue.
So, show of hands, please!
And about timing, I noticed that the others were usually scheduled for 6:30ish, which works for me.
Sorry mate, count me out. The weather has stopped me from getting there before Fred goes but a ride down to SH may still be in the cards later this summer.
Apologies for the very tardy reply, but I too am unable to attend tonight. I know from experience that getting our Shanghai MCM members to a fixed place at a fixed time is challenging in the extreme, and regret that now I'm on the wrong side of the equation. We have more than 40 members in Shanghai alone. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm in the cab going home after the no-bike night in Shanghai and I wanted to be the first one to comment on the evening. Thank you so much guys for a wonderful time! There weren't many of us there but you made up in quality what we lacked in quantity! Jeff and Fred were there with their respective charming ladies. A real pleasure meeting you all. Fred, Céline, congratulations again on your 2 months ride across China and best of luck with your move back home. I wish we had met sooner!
