Re: New ECU Behaving Weird
ZMC888, well yeah, the local CFMoto dealership guys would probably do the same. My mechanic though won't. Unfortunately, the mechanic I have been working with for the last 5 years or so doesn't have equipment to diagnose my ECU (or any other ECU for that matter).
What I am doing tomorrow is:
1. Go to CFMoto dealership and ask them if they have diagnostic equipment that would work with my bike.
2. If yes, read errors from my old ECU and see what the matter is (15 short flashes). Reset old ECU and see if the error message repeats.
3. If the old ECU work fine, keep it. If not, use the new ECU and reset the TPS so that it works with the new ECU.
4. If they have no equipment (which is the most likely outcome), screw it - the bike works more or less OK with the flashing warning light. Sell it to some Chinese dude ASAP telling him that this is the "luck light" (hence red color) or something.
