Someone had posted a pic of their bike with a vintage saddle bag (or maybe it was a tool bag if there is a difference between the terms) on it, and I'm unable to locate that pic again in this thread. I'd like to know how it was mounted to the side, and I'm also interested in recommendations from all of you on what's out there that is similar to the pic of the vintage side-mount bag that was posted (hopefully someone will know the pic that I'm referring to). I want to keep a few tools, emergency items, and such in it, and I really like how the one that was posted looks. Thanks!
Think that was in barnone's DF thread.

Steeltoe I had the vintage hard tail bag but the rear stock light got in the way i went with 2 fork bags instead for tools and stuff I keep a second pair of riding goggles, all the tools I need to wrench the bike in an emergency, a tee shirt, pack of smokes and a bottle opener
Thanks for posting the pics, Gardo! That's exactly along the lines of what I'm looking for. Did you get that from Leatherup or another site? Thanks!
Hey everyone just wanted to say I just joined the site yesturday and have read all 94 pages.... I dont currently have a heist because I am currently somewere very sandy and they dont make armoured ones... Anyways I plan on getting one when I get back to the good old US of A sometime in 2012-13. Just wanted to say great site and great bikes and Gardo you have really made me set my mind on getting one of these. My plan is to get a heist and a misfit for me and my wife to share, both some mods but prob more performance mods on the one I end up riding the most... Oh and Gardo love the videos been watching those to and what FB group did you create if you dont mind me asking.
Graywolf, first up thank you for your sacrifice in service to our military.
Glad I was able to provide a bit of entertainment with the videos, really need to cut a few more with all the updates and mods done to my little girl. As for these forum boards there is a lot of great information here as well as my facebook group, :riding:https://www.facebook.com/groups/ccwthariders/ ,come by and check us out.
I have to say i love this bike, have had a lot of luck with her and did a 400 mile ride on Saturday and was all over NJ and hit a few spots along the shore line, bars, on my way home. :goodtime:
Before anyone jumps on me I was drinking seltzer and lime....most of the night :naughty:
Yea I have been hell bent on the ninja250 until I found out about CCW... Overall I think the ninja is a superior product but it just doesnt have the style and personality that the CCW bikes do.
Anyone else having to battle the bike to keep the chain tight? I have to tighten it every ride. Maybe im not tightening it enough. Anyone know torque specs for rear bolt? Its getting to the point where I dont wanna ride it due to fear of something falling off (the chain). Kinda pissed at it right now
I am in the same boat. Tightened twice already, and after a ride last night I noticed it getting bad again, and need to tighten again before my next ride. There is talk of Weaver's chain/sprocket upgrade being MUCH better, may be the route we need to go (?). I haven't looked into a chain tensioner, may be an option also.
Weaver rides has an O-Ring Chain and 16t sprocket combo for sale for $65 including shipping. The new sprocket gets you more speed, and the o-ring chain will not stretch(much) after installation. I have never owned a bike where the stock chain did not stretch. I installed this combo on a customer bike this weekend and it works great.
Stock chain: keep it clean and greased. Tightened mine monthly. Set mine to about a half-inch of play in the middle of the bottom chain. Set the chain adjuster on the chain side, measure it out and match on the other. Tighten axle, and recheck. Even properly tight I'd get some noises now and then.
There is yellow grease paint on the axle nut from the factory. You could use it to "eyeball" the correct torque. The grease paint is great, allows a quick visual if a bolt has backed off on you.
Also, do not over tighten the adjuster bolts. Get them good and snug, but do not gorilla tighten them. You want to avoid stretching the threads on them.
I've now got the 16t and DID chain combo from Tom. Great upgrade, well worth it. The chain is heavy duty, but not an o-ring. Very smooth and quiet regardless. The sprocket is from JT Racing, nice piece. The cost was $73 with shipping.
I installed the sprocket, but now that I think about it, i didn't open the chain box or install it due to time restraints. I thought it was an O-Ring chain. I will have to check on that. As usual(per my wife), i'm probably not right about the chain....
Hey, for what it's worth to everyone, I installed two of the stainless shift rods this weekend from Weaver Rides, and DID notice an improvement shifting into neutral. Not sure what the MSRP is on that, but I think it's worth it.
Weaver have a legit website yet?
Or does anyone have a list of the mods available and pricing?
You'll love it when you put it on. Smooth and quit. The weaver chain is also a couple links longer to compensate for the 16t.
A while ago someone was looking for the Biltwell Window bars in 7/8?
They're up again at Lowbrow for $80. Black and chrome available. Good deal for someone!

That was me, thanks Kevin. The Weave built me these for $75 with the same specs as the Biltwell's. They look great and are so freaking comfortable, I love em!
