Re: Shineray / XinYuan X5 review
Here is a Users Manual for you.

Those are also sold in the UK, unfortunately they do not have a downloadable manual.

I believe that there are people that will translate documents manually for a fee available online, I had some documents converted to movable font before its not overly expensive. A web search on translate a PDF will bring up a list of service providers.
There may even be software that can do it.

I am guessing this just for the bikes carry on tool bag?
Re: Shineray / XinYuan X5 review
Hey guys. Just thought i'd post a little update on the X5. Iv'e put around 1500km's on it now and apart from 1 issue she's running really well. I loosely followed Shuben's break-in procedure and the motor is feeling really nice.
The issue was that, after about 500km's on the clock i noticed an oil leak.

I took it to the shineray dealership here in Chengdu and the guy there flat out refused to even look at the bike as i didn't buy it directly from him. The bike came with a one year warranty and i thought i'd be able to roll into any shineray dealership if it has an issue. I'm not sure if this case or not, but the guy was a complete asshole in terms of his attitude. I even offered to pay for the fix but he flat out refused and told me to go fix it somewhere else. Awesome.
Zhu took one look at it and reckoned the probem was a shitty O ring in this part of the dry sump oil system.

So we took the bike back to his place and he scuttled off to rummage around in a cupboard and came back with a nice new, healthy looking O ring. We swapped it out and it hasn't leaked a drop since. Cheers Zhu!

Sorry guys, no idea why some of these photos are uploading sideways :eek2: will try to fix later.
Have any other owners of this bike considered putting a beefier carby on the X5? I'm thinking about it. Would be cool to here others thoughts on this. Also, has anyone rode an X5 at altitude between 3,800-4,200 meters?
Re: Shineray / XinYuan X5 review
I had the idea of putting another carb on. but I found the space is very tight and I never found a suitable replacement (with the efforts I took)

Zhu is a great guy to know. I wish he had moved to Yixing or Nanjing!
