Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Looks nice in flat black; it appears a lot of the chrome bits on the gloss black bike are blacked out on the flat black model, headlight, tail light, turn signals... good stuff! Aboshi, did you order flat black or was this just what they happened to ship?

Good eye there Redrover.
Now I am really getting pissed because you did get a flat black model with a lot of black instead of chrome like Red said.
I'm calling up that Chad that I ordered my bike from and raise hell with him.

Redrover:
Good eye indeed lol I noticed that right away when I opened the create. the speedo/signals/head light/tail light are all murdered out, and yes I ordered it in flat black.
I had called up countyimports and made sure they had it in flat black, I must have asked the guy 10 times at least just to see if he was bullshitting me.
I'm not a fan of chrome at all and one of the things I was going to do if those parts came in chrome was send it in to be powder coated black, so I'm very happy it came all blacked out.

I would defiantly raise hell because I have the flat black model and if thats what you ordered they should have waited till they could send that one out or they just fuct up on their end.
If you want a awesome looking rear view and still be able to use bar end signals check this out:

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
It's nice to know the flat black is not just a mythological creature!
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Aboshi. if you are were I think you are you're less than an hour from me (depending on the L.I.E) once you get the bike legit we need to hook up and go riding and show off these little beasts.
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
I've come to the conclusion that the guy I ordered my DF from does not know a motorcycle from a Popsicle. He is just a paper pusher and a poor one at that.
I think the DF has much more of an old school look that I want over the Heist. I think the DF has larger tubing in the frame and appears to have a more stout frame but then again I haven't seen a Heist in real life.
I'll keep the bar end mirror you suggested on my Ebay watch list if my idea does not work out.

Any time you want =)
I'm about 20 mins from JFK you can google maps Long Beach and see exactly where I am =)
It turns out I am going to have to drill the holes in the handlebars or at least on the right side...
The nub holds the throttle in place. I want to do it right now but I really don't feel like going outside in 34F to do it lol

Barnone - the DF250RTB is indeed a slightly larger bike, bigger fram but the stretch on the Heist has a longer wheelbase.
Its the Tank on the DF250RTB that sexy beautiful tank makes it look so badass. The Heist's tank is nice but thats what i miss the most from the DF250RTB that curvey heartshaped tank. It gave the bike such a different look and the race stripes made it so much more unique
