Gardo and Turner, thanks and yes the shop is covering the warrenty and doing an inspection on delivery before I pick up the bike. Can't wait to start working on it...although the first step will be electrical so might need some help on that. I am more mechanical guy than an electrical one ha
I'd leave the electrical alone for now and do what you want in stages, start with the easy stuff first. Ride it find what you like and what you want to change, this way the bike is not completely apart and you can still enjoy as you customize it
Gardo, the electrical I want to do first is just get the RTB setup and take off the main brake. They have kits to do this but am not sure if they will fit on the Heist. Also, will be taking all controls from handlebars and relocating but thats just simply shortening wires and geting new toggle switches. Then will move more towards chopping rear fender, exhaust, new seat and handlebars...as you can see the ideas are flowing :lol8:
I say just hack everything off the minute you get it home. Do it before common sense kicks in. Just take it all off and don't document anything. Just come in the door from the dealer, grab a cutoff wheel and slice your fender. That's some motivation right there.
Wish I did it that way, I got a list in my head and parts all around my house lol.

Finished the exhaust last night:

Also got real plates on it finally last night, no more temps. When I took it to the BMV I noticed it kept puttering and hesitating when hitting higher RPM's. If I shifted to the next gear everything was fine, same thing though in the next gear as it started into higher RPM's. I thought maybe I didn't have the exhaust on right, because it ran like a champ the night before, only difference between last night and tonight was paint. I ended up just taking it slow to the BMV. When I got back out I noticed what my issue was when I went to start...still had a partial choke on from firing it up. D'OH!
The bike did have an admirer at the BMV though, the man was pretty interested, so I gave him all of the details. It's all about spreading the love
[QUOTE=Kb96gt;28102]Alright Boners. I popped in a 42 pilot / 102 main today and documented the whole shizbang. Oh and if someone who actually knows what's going here sees something totally wack, let me know and I'll fix it. I like the 42/102 (runs strong) but I keep hearing about this 105. Maybe I'll try that out soon.
I may have missed it, where did you get the jets at?
I got mine from Weaver, hell Weaver redid the whole carb
Kev I have 45 pilot and a 105 main. on position 2 on the needle. Shes a thirsty byotch. Realized that I'm now getting 55 -62 mpg, but I'm also an aggressive rider :riding:
