Re: Shineray / XinYuan X5 review
Nice pics Shuben and thanks for some info Prince
I do like to take bikes on bad roads and am simply doing some research before I buy. Ive found a lot of sets on taobao in sizes 2.75-21 and 4.10-18. I think now that those sizes might fit the X5. In the worst case I will buy the cheapest set (RMB120!!!) in that size and try them on, if fit then can buy better.

To convert mm size tyres into inches size tyres just ÷ by 25.4
So 90 -90-21 are 3.50" and the back 130 are 5.10"

As it was my guess at the beginning but a simple google search changed it all...hah Even the universal truths are not so universal after a google search hahah
look here according to this street and knobbies have different sizes. 130-80 streey are 5.00-5.10 like you said but 130-80 knobbies are 4.00-4.50. And the front in both cases (90-90) is 2.75-3.00 which has nothing to do with inches as it should be 3.50 like you mentioned ;)
Maxxis tire chart is also inconsistent 90-90 is 2.75-3.00 and 130-80 is 5.00-5.10

Does anyone know something about ECU which is installed in X5? There is Synerject control unit http://www.synerject.com/en/2-3-whee...andalone-p30-6 I need to reset DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) and can't find any info how I can do that. I can't find info which diagnostic tool I can connect to the ECU to be able to clean the codes. I'll be thankfull for any help.

Having trouble with your ECU?

I have a new motorcycle, Geon Grandtour 400. That's a copy of the X5 in Ukraine. After the third ride when I was almost at home (about 300 meters) I saw "check engine" light working. I waited a few minutes and finished the ride. At home I decrypted the light and found that it shows code "7" what means "Intake air temperature sensor diagnosis". I decided to disconnect/connect the sensor to be sure that the problem is not in the wires. After that I got one more code blinking by "check engine" light - "21" (MAP sensor diagnosis). That's because intake air temperature and preasure sensor are the same physical thing. So at the moment when I turn the key and right red button to start position I see that "check engine" is blinking "21" and then "7". Once I start engine the lamp goes to off state. I hope that it's blinking the errors from log and not the actual ones so I would like to reset them to see if they appear again. I'm contacting the dealer to know how he can help me. If no success with him I'll probably try to buy some diagnostic tool with K-line interface and will try to connect to the ECU.
