what a great story to read...especially the police....part....my wife is from nanning guangzhou....love my visit to guilin and yangshuo I loved the small towns......I would love to ride my bike there someday....I think you have the best wife...my wife loves bikes and had bike in nanning 125cc so we love to ride...I have cr125 and a VTR1000 both honda's I think by now you know a little more about riding and fixing things on the road....it is a good experience.....I have be riding since I was 8 both street and dirt and still doing both.......if you do another trip I would read your logs !!!! this time of your life was priceless

Yeah i was a little bummed about not seeing the end of the thread/story. My brother is coming over in september, I am going to try to get a trip together to ride the mongolian grasslands, this thread gave me the motovation to start the planning, great writing and amazing photos. Would love to see the last of the story.

Fascinating story about the trip and beautiful pictures. I see that the bike you had is being sold in Calgary, AB so will have to check it out. Sounds like one for the ranch.
