I have a CCW Heist, and my 250cc bike will do 80mph, and you can hear me coming for two blocks. It's real alright...

Not sure where I saw the videos (maybe even on this thread) but some guy has videos on youtube riding his chopper--when 'loserland' gets his part sorted out, we should hopefully read more about his experiences.
Re: 250cc Street Legal Outlaw Chopper
Got the part Saturday after a ton of phone calls and hours :taz:on hold. Cost me $90 for overnight shipping but let me ride all weekend. The speedometer appears to be off by a good 10% over, making the comfortable cruising speed more like 35-40 mph. The bike looks clearly like a mini and people know by sound and sight that it isn't a "real" chopper. It seems great for riding around a small town or like me a quick trip to work. I would NOT take this bike on the highway ever or ever get close to doing 80 mph on this bike. My only real comparison is the 600 Katana I had in college. I can tell you that 50 mph on this bike feels like 100 mph on the Katana. I also got my MSO Saturday :deal: and got my plate with no problem at lunch today.
I bought the bike because of the low price and the ability to see how much I would ride it to work while I get back in the swing of riding after a 19 year break. Today actually I'm gonna go check out Harley's at the local shop.
My wife seems to think I'd look much better on one of those. Hoping I can ride it a while longer this summer and get about what I paid for it on trade or sale.

Re: 250cc Street Legal Outlaw Chopper
Does your bike have a federal certification label/plate on it the says: "Meets all federal motor vehicle safety standards (FMVSS) in effect on date of manufacture?" This is evidence that the bike is street legal and can be registered with no problems in all states. However, some states register them regardless - since there is no official vehicle inspection to verify this.
