found this nice little rest area in the middle of nowhere so we stopped for a snack and about 3 litres of water because it was about 35 degrees that day

so all in all a pretty good day out
the bike now has 2300 km on it and going well
average fuel consumption seems to be around 3 litres/100km
no major problems and hasnt finged any piblets
What the hell does that mean? Sounds like an expression you'd use to describe a new girlfriend; "Sure she grew up on a farm, but she certainly never fing'ed any piblets"Quote:

Thanks for clearing that up and also introducing another obscure reference for me to look up. I found that the landrover forums seem to have a lot to say about lucas wiring!

anyway we found this cool little ferry which is pole powered across the river by the ferryman who charges us 1 kuai each and 1kuai for the bike

i heard about another mig down in maoshan so i went for a ride to check it out on the way i came across a tatty little bike shop in the middle of nowhere with a couple of interesting old bikes a v-max and an old gsx 750 cop bike

about 80km south of the river on s340 there is a temple and a museum
not really into temples but the road up to it was pretty cool
anyway this old mig was in nice condition, no engine of course but apart from some corrosion the airframe was lookin ok

so one could hardly resist the road up to the temple being a winding up the hill affair with sticky tarmac and some nice hairpins.
only 3 km long so i had to go up and down it a few times
