Tried to start my CF Moto yesterday. It didn't. Dead battery. Push-started the bike and rode all the way to the shop. The battery didn't charge a bit. Probably the battery was on its last legs. Probably the rectifier-regulator is dead. They will have a look at it tonight and try to fix the problem. I've also asked them to replace the chain and the sprockets. I guess you need to do it once in five years at least.
Picking the bike up after 20:00 tonight. Will see how it is.
650NutKase turns out they don't have the spares required (rec-reg, sprockets, chain), so the bike will sit in the shop for another week waiting for the spares to arrive and get installed. I'll post the pics of it as soon as I get it back.
I have never met a bike shop in China that had spare parts, except from little fuel filters.
No matter what I tried to get: a clutch lever, MEIYOU...., a inner tube, MEIYOU ..... 35W front standard lightbulb, MEIYOU...
They operating on LEAN principles and do ..... just in time ...........................TaoBao ordering.
CF moto do make good bikes.. I totally agree with you about the staff working in sales and service.. I've just had a massive problem getting my scooter fixed.. I eventually got in touch with the KTM partners and they kicked the butts of the CF people. CF to make good bikes... The boss man.. MR CHEN (I think) needs to be made aware of how badly his product is being represented in China..
ShuBen, yes, that's right. Most of the shops I've seen here are just like that. That CFMoto shop in Nanjing here is a bit different though. They (slowly and painfully) begin to understand that in certain cases certain spares should better be in stock. I think they'll get better over time.
Jonsims, their bikes are good, the quality is much better than that you normally find in common Chinese bikes. Their after sales service is... well... very Chinese (in China at least). I'd really want to know how well they're doing in terms of customer service in other countries.
Can you give me the street address for the CF Moto location you like here in Nanjing?
