Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
I sent the problems that DF buyers have had with shipments, getting MSOs, registration problems, and losing sales to CCW Heist to Chad at Extreme Scooters and this was his response.
"Thanks, I sent this to our supplier. Maybe it will wake them up a bit. I know they are beyond busy and can’t keep up with gas prices making sales go through the roof, but it sounds like they need to hire some more people."

Well hopefully it will help them get their $#it together, there is definitely a market for them but not if they dont abide by the regs here in the states
Trust me riding both I would still go with the Heist, I have to say that the heist handles better out of the box. And IMHO has a better ride.

Gardo,
Time will tell which is the better bike. I like the extra $1000 in my pocket.
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Countyimports called me today to let me know they sent me the MSO certified mail, they said they sent it out yesterday 4.8.11 so I should have it sometime next week.
...well see what happens.
I also ordered another motorcycle cover yesterday that is 100$ waterproof because the one I got form Advanced Auto is already shredded from the wind and was not even water resistant liek they claim... Within 3 mins in the rain the bike was soaked.

Dude i am pulling for ya it gets a bit tricky, hopefully the MSO they send you is the right one and the rest of the process goes smooth.
make sure when you get it that the ODO statement is filled out, not sure about NY but NJ are sticklers for.... well just bout everything
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
They are sticklers about everything here also lol
Fill out one thing wrong and your SOL and have to start all over again. If they send me the wrong MSO I'm going to have a freak out session with them so don't jinx me hehe
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
If you look at the DFs at Cumberland County Choppers they all have the blacked out paint scheme on the headlight, turn signals, etc like Aboshi's.

Flat black model in front, then silver, and gloss black.
I like that paint scheme better than mine as it looks more old school.
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
So I went to clean off all the rust all over the spokes today only to find out the chrome is such trash its already flaked off nearly ever spoke right at the connection to the hub...
Then I adjusted the valves and did a little bit of tuning up on the bike to try to get it to run correctly. I warmed up nicely but as I went to go around the parking lot a few times the keeps getting blow back through the carb then stalls, now this is very dangerous! Going about 10 mph the bike stalls and locks up the wheel without warning. This thing sounds and feels like its running perfectly then BAM stall and lock up this time no blow back or anything. What makes to so very dangerous is that if I were going just 5 mph faster I will guarantee the bike would have low sided. If this were to happen when going 30+ well you can understand that wont feel good =(
When a motorcycle stalls it should still just engine break to slow down and not lock the entire motor up, this is not the case! The second this motor stalls it jams the counter shaft and thats a BIG issue... I am going to have a word with the guys from countyimports on Monday and figure all this out. Also neutral is nearly impossible to get into when the bike is running. I think I got a bum motor =(
