My hat is off to you for having the patience to ride in Nanjing. I gave up riding in Nanjing when I realized the futility of it had me looking to find a fork to stick in my eye for more enjoyment. That being said, I have my bike in a village 1.5 hours (by car on G25) south of Nanjing in the mountains next to ShanJuan. Wonderful riding!!! Great folks. Still have the random dull knife in the drawer but it is so much more enjoyable than Nanjing for riding a bike. Get out of the cities as they are a toilet for riding in China and find just how true it is that riding in the countryside is awesome!

TexasAggie, indeed, riding in Nanjing is a torture, especially now that half the city is closed for road and subway construction... Yet most of the riding I do is to and from work, a couple occasional ride-outs sometimes, nothing major... I can put up with Nanjing traffic for that :)
