Maybe no "Shineray" per se, but this is pretty common design among Chinese manufacturers. Every reputable manufacturer (and even those who aren't) has this "Honda" CD 70 clone in his portfolio, some, like those "Shinerays", fancy looking, some anything but. And those are cheapest item in their price lists.
Copy of the Honda Benly 50S, Shineray is also offering them with the 50cc.

I am not a big fan of the double spoke rims, I do like the redesigned taillight plate assembly though.
Its a shame if they are not well made, they look real cute.

Those Hondas have something going for them - simplicity maybe - they do look attractive.
At the time, mopeds and mokicks like those "Hondas", were small displacement... how to say... mainstream form factor, like scooters are nowadays.
Looks like retro classics are making a huge comeback. Even in China.

No, unfortunetly Romet doesn't like my reviews. They marketing says everywhere it is a Polish brand, and Polish engineers who design their motorcycles.Quote:

As i published the photos form Yingang website about the white motorcycle (CD70) with the romet sign on the engine they sent me Pre-trial letter

I noticed on the EPA certification list that Shineray received certification for one of their bikes on the 2016 list. I wonder if the bike will actually come here? The two models listed are the XY 400 and the XY 400 GY

Shineray has a new website, the site has a bunch of bugs.
Also their sales have dropped by 65% from last year as of June 2016. They fell from the 22nd largest producer in 2012 to the position of 40th.
They altered their copy of the Yamaha Tricker, maybe to avoid conflicts and to make it more their own?

They have three categories, SWM is one and within it they list only the 650. Which seems to hint they intend to offer these in the Chinese market?

For the entry level EU market SWM will be offer the once Husqvarna, as their SWM SM125R and ES125.

I think they've changed their Tricker to avoid conflict with Yamaha, especially where both bikes get to be exported (e.g.: Russia). As for the website, yeah, it needs a lot of optimization and doesn't scale well in Safari.

Shineray up graded its website, however it is still buggy, it does not fit properly into the screen cuts off products? The site was not properly tested?
Shineray dropped its production numbers, however they still seem to have a floundering identity.
These are not new...however worth mentioning.

Hi MJH
Was in a Shineray shop today in Kunming yunnan province and there had the new 250 X-Trail for sell cost 8800 RMB.
Had to get one for that price pick it up Monday.
The bike is as your picture posted but less the nobs tyres but was fitted with more of a 50/50 tyres.

Not expecting to much from the bike but who knows it could be a good runner.
As for the X-Trail I am some what confused as you say it not a new model .
Well from what the dealer said it's so new it can't plate the bike untill Shineray send all the correct Docurments out.
That is really low cost $1,280.00, is it EFI?

Highly doubtful that this model if 250cc could be plated as a 250cc inside Ch!na...
Perhaps Shineray have developed this model of the back of the X2 as a dumbed down and cheaper variant for some export markets in sub Saharan Africa and parts of eastern Europe or such like?
It will be interesting to see how this develops.

As I said the shop didn't have the correct documents from Shineray to allow the owner the plate the bike .
As soon as I have the paper work then I can confirm what CC Shineray are declaring the bike to be.?
Shineray and Qingqi have some 250 models with Carb - strange and true and can plate from what they told me
