there supposed to be something on this bolt? my rear caliper is loose and i believe this to be the culprit..... my front caliper has a sleeve thats threaded on the inside, looks like its to keep the caliper from moving around or something... im confused.http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...t_60849_-1.jpg
there is supposed to be a barrel nut there on the front and the back. Contact your dealer and he will send you a new one. Add some blue locktite to it when you get it. the bike is alright to ride that way but get the barrel nut on there.
i lost mine within the first couple of weeks having the bike LoL
Also locktite the bolts that hold the heat shield on i had mine rattle loose before I used the glue
With these rigid bobbers locktite is your friend, or as my buddy calls it Harley Glue. Green locktite will also work.
I go through my bike once a week to make sure nothing has rattled loose with the amount of riding I do. the locktite helps out a lot
awesome. im curious if i could find something at lowes or somewhere to put there..... i contacted brett and al from pit, but i don't expect them to do anything, just basically asked them if they knew if something was supposed to go there. but then i remembered this thread and thought i would try my luck here too. great help as always gardo.
Yea Al sent me one out the next day after i notified him shoot Al an Email, alan@pitmotorsltd.com, Brett tends to get inundated daily with emails.
They stock all the parts for the bike so they should have it to you in no time
yeah, i've hit them up 2 times now for different parts and they've been amazing about it. just don't want to annoy the hell outta them with every little thing...
MK2 that's what they are there for man. they get it, they are car and bike guys.
we'll see what they say when they receive the e-mail then. and as long as this won't hurt anything i am going to continue to ride the bike. not sure when it fell off, so i have probably gone a while without this. hahaha things happen i suppose
hey Heister's here's a little behind the scenes of what goes on prior to getting your bike. i was lucky enough to be part of the whole thing from picking my own box to getting my lil girl running. this was shot on April 2, 2011
It was a great day and i had a blast. I head down every couple weeks to hang out and kick around ideas. I have learned a lot from these guys and proud to call them my friends.

Great video Gardo, wish I could have been there to help out build mine up (would have been good learning experience about the bike). I just found out I will be up in Wilmington, DE in mid August but dont know if I will have time to make a trip to go see those guys. I know it would be a good experience just to talk with them but maybe I can work something out. Got the headlight painted black the other night, but now working on something more important which is a hitch mounted carrier for the bike. Then I will be able to take it on longer trips with the dog and ride wherever I am
