Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Latest news.
Murata shop claims they can get:
- Ninja 250 in April for 42K.
- Z 250 in October for 39K.
- Kawa 600 or 650 (which?), didn't ask price nor exact model or available time, sory.
That is much less than the usual msrp x2...
Attachment 10250
They need 2 months to get the bike here.
Voila... This is what they claim.
I'm not 100% decided yet.
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up

Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Isn't the Ninja 250 now the Ninja 300? So they are selling old stock? Honestly we need a reliable 400-500cc displacement Japanese bike like the new CB500. China already has the GW250, and personally I think a Chinese GW250 and Indonesian Ninja 250 are about the same in quality terms, albeit the GW is a much nicer price.

There is an additional one off fee of CNY30,000 to be applied to the calculation above. It is a base fee, not calculated on the value of the bike being imported. Therefore irrespective if the bike is worth US$1,000 or US1,000,000 the special one of importation fee remains at CNY30,000. I will dig up the name of the "fee" if I can find the information. I just recall it is payable and in addition to the taxes based on the MSRP (and the MSRP is as DEFINED by the relevant Chinese authorities).

In other words a country that makes a huge living from exports has massive tariffs on imports, complete hypocrisy, and the governments of other countries are stupid enough to let them get away with it.

Yea a Japanese 400 or 500 locally made would solve many riders problems.
Sadly, it seems you, me, and whoever else who would love such a bike are not enough customers to create a market...
No old stocks; Ninja 300 is only for western markets, sadly.
The new Ninja 250 is indonesia only (mayb India too, dunno).
"""The updated 249cc Parallel Twin engine receives new sleeveless die-cast cylinders as well as updated pistons, crankcases and a new exhaust. The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250 makes use of dual throttle valves like its big brothers the ZX-10R and ZX-6R. According to Kawasaki, the second ECU-controlled throttle valve helps to regulate intake airflow for a linear response, more efficient combustion and added power. [...] Kawasaki also updated the Ninja 250 with a new diamond-style frame that is said to be stiffer than the previous frame."""
GW 250 & Ninja 250 are about same quality, I'd say so too, but this and displacement's gotta be the only commun thing the bikes have;
Because I know little about bikes, weight/power ratio is how I measure & compare them.
GW = 182 kg / 24 hp (7.58 kg/hp) - Nj 250 = 174 kg / 32 hp (5.44 kg/hp)
Here the difference is huge, and warrants 42K against 26K to me cause I already have a 165 kg / 20 hp (8.25 kg/hp) 250cc bike.

I knew u would say that...
These people are motorcycle centered, they go out in parades for biking events together, they're Japanese, I feel inclined to trust them.
I believe and trust you also, clearly ur goal is to warn me about what u know is truth against a potential scam.
But they have a bike at the end of their promises, and you have me without a bike, or me without 2 times the $ that bike's worth and a bike...
Thank you for ur warnings.
You too bikerdoc, thank you for keeping an eye on the n00b guys.
Although u have me without 3 times the $ that bike's worth at the end... Ouch.
I'll try to comfront the Murata shop owner with ur info and see what he has to answer.
Do u calculate the total price with a onboard program or on a website?
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Go ahead and trust them maybe they are a ninkyo dantai?

You can get the Benelli 600 for 37,000, latest quote I got. Also made in China bike is going to have more spares. Although I agree a Ninja is much more powerful than the Suzuki, really though if the Suzuki is 24,000 then the Ninja is worth maybe 30,000.

Looked at a Tianshan Road bike shop today, same shady feel as the bike shops out at the Shanghai Tianma Track.... is that the shop you mention I wonder?
