Here is a cool mod for these that I just came across. I didn't know this was possible. You can find it on ebay for about $20.

Other, I don't know if there is a better price out there for the DF. Mine was $2199.99 home delivery.
Most drivers will work with you. You got a feed store that you do business with?
For what ever it is worth that site only has a 30-Day Standard Warranty vs the 12 month warranty at http://www.extremescooters.biz/250cc...r-chopper.aspx
They did send me another tank no charge since mine had a very slight leak which I repaired so I now have a spare tank.

Back in the old days we use to paint the white walls with a special paint. Seems we had to renew it often but I'm sure the paint is better these days,

I like what you have said about that company. I am leaning that way if I go with one of these. I am thinking that if I could find out if there is actually a place selling them for $1800, then I might be able to talk the other place down a little.
Right now, for the $2200 price, I have seen some used bobbers with some more power from brands that I know are reliable and that I can find parts for. (Not exactly what I want though).

I don't see where finding parts will be a big issue with these simple bobbers. Besides how many parts do you need? People are always asking me where I get parts for my China bikes. What parts I ask? They don't know the answer. Just what they heard?
Anyway, yes you can buy a less expensive used bike so go that way if you are more comfortable.

EDIT: I did order a fan control thermal switch for my Chinese mini jeep from China.I could have sourced from the USA but it was half the price including shipping from China for the same switch. Took about a week to get it.
The mini jeep has a CFMoto 188 (500cc) engine with a parts distributor in the US. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...kyLoadedUP.jpg
The extra power is more of the attraction of one of the used bikes. Also, I am guaranteed it is legal without all the hastle to register it. Thanks for the info. I don't know which way to go.

Barnone, I took the sprocket off this weekend. after looking at it I seen that the one side had a raised side on it. I put that side out & that solved my problem. she is nice and tight now. I took a 100 mile ride today. have 250 miles on her. have a great week.

reporon,
Glad to hear that you solved the problem.
Did I miss the pictures of your DF and where are you located?
