The frame and the connections look identical to the trailer my daughter used to ride in. I haven't seen one made for carrying cargo. I have seen lots of ones modified to do that though. Your's is pretty cool.
Ok I finely went and had to reg the bike today.
It was painless and they didn't even ask a single question =)
$98 for basic insurance and $302.88 to DMV I now have a tag and the title will be in the mail within 6-8 weeks =)
Only thing that sucks is that progressive will only insure basic coverage, I am going to try to fax them actual value of the bike so they will put comp on there but I wont hold my breath on that one.

They never showed up to get the bike so I had no choice. I needed put it on the street as my condo is rented now and I couldn't keep the bike in my parking spot =(.

I am glad that you didn't get this registered before last week, or I might have bought one knowing that I could register it in NY. I am very happy with my Yamaha. Most of my friends are Harley guys and I would never be able to keep up with their huge bikes with that small engine.

I am not sure if I am ever going to pass a road test with the ape hangers on my bike. I can't get it to do the tight circles let alone figure 8s. I'll keep practicing, but I may need to find someone with a 250 to lend me or dish out the $300 to get my license through the safety course.
(Thats a picture the previous owner took. I will take some pictures by two waterfalls in my town this week. I wish I would have taken a picture at the other waterfall last week. I think my sister in law snapped some pictures of me riding it. I'll ask her).
