They can see growing interest in higher preforming models, however that’s limited in comparison to the lion share of the market which is for fuel efficient reliable transportation, their offering the 200cc Extreme Sport is actually a relative extreme choice for many in India.

As I understand, and I don't wanna be "Google-smart", in India, legislature recognize motorcycles with displacement up to 110 cc and certain power, so all those "Splendors" are in that category, probably least burdened with taxes.

That’s true by default, however, the structure of Motor Vehicle taxes within India differs from state to state.
These can be based on cc, weight, vehicle cost, hp, they can be levied once or annually.
