I wish Honda would make those in India and sell them here for cheap.


They have a model there they call the CB Trigger, but its smaller and does not have the cradle frame.
The CB300 frame is designed to hold a twin, they could put the 223cc engine in it for the Indian market. They could offer it with their PGM-I they sold them when they were partnered with HERO but replaced that with the CBR250 and 150 I guess.

I think that a CB230 just like what Zongshen is making actually made by Honda with fuel injection would be great and coming out of India they could price them very low, close to 3k I would think for the USA.

The Zongshen 250NC is showing up in the Hanway STR 250NC.

After reading the article and frank remarks from Zongshen's founder, as well as daily commuting on a TMEC 200 with a stout Zongshen engine for 9 months, I would very much hope this unique bike makes it to the US. If worse comes to worse, I could somehow fit a Baja designs street lighting kit to the SSR 250 dirt bike, to at least enjoy the engine...

It’s not likely we will see the RX3 anytime soon here in the USA, I wonder if it was considered as an Aprilia? It would look good red and black, they could offer them at around $4,500.00 maybe as an Avvetura 250?


Half the Piaggio USA scooter line is manufactured in china, they could use that same approach with these and Aprilia?


I wonder if the next offering could be a 500 twin utilizing that same base engine? If the developers/engineers behind it were crafty they may have considered that. Its not uncommon in the industry for singles to be halves of twins. Then there could be a Avventura 500 twin next or an RX6 Zongshen.


Aprilia has no entry level bikes for the US market, they do in Europe though, but they are all 125cc bikes. Here it be a 250-500 line that would be considered entry level and in this case priced under the current offering at around $9500.00, so that would be the 4500-7500 retail price range.

I can't link to the video since I am on a tablet, but SSR uploaded a couple of videos on youtube showing this bike in action on the track. 'SSR motorsports SR250 follow cam Pala Raceway' is the title of one of the video. Looks promising!

Hisun lost the production of the Megelli to Zongshen, the bike sports the NC250 engine.
It will likely get the same efi as the RX3 and also be offered in China, in fact for sure in China, but as a Zongshen and a M1NSk in Belarus.
