You got the chrome accidents also. There seems to be one with chrome accents and one with flat black one.

Gumpsta,
Nice looking DF. What part of MS? I'd like to put my stock handlebars and mirrors back on to try them but I accidentally left them in FL.
Barnone, i am in central ms. Marion just north of meridian.
Aka, yes I have seen both black and chrome accents. I prefer the black also, but it came with chrome. Not sure you have a choice. I guess I can swap it out later for some black ones. Other than that I love the df so far.

Do you ride with anyone in meridian? I know a few guys from msriders.org that are in meridian. Did you have any problems registering you bike. I get mine tomorrow or Monday.
I got 82.35 MPG on my last DF tankful using regular (87 octane). Sweet.

I guess I'm kind of a loner . Ride by myself mostly. I probably know some of the guys in that club. I rode motocross here for a little while and rode a HD fatboy a few years back and have lived in meridian for 42 years.
Just enjoy bikes and cruising around.

Hello,
After reading all 71 pages of this forum I am seriously contemplating selling my XS 650 and purchasing a DF. I have a couple question for the owner/riders. I own a qlink xp200(love it) but it get thrown around alot by passing and cars and trucks, is the DF the same because of the low weight? Also has anyone tried to title/register a DF in Texas yet?
I finally got mine in on Friday. It was easy to put together except for the fact that the wiring harness under the tank that controls the ignition was not connect. It took me a few min to find the problem, but my headlights still do not work. The bike is fun to ride, I only have 65 miles on it so I am still on 75% power like the manual said to do. I don't feel like I get pushed around, but I have only had it on slow streets because I have only gotten it up to 55mph.
Barnone. Can you send me a link of the sprocket you bought, thank you so much. It really needs a 35 in the rear. And what did you use for a spacer in the carb?
AKAsam,
Congrats and please post a photo or two of your DF.

I put a very small stainless steel washer from my marine junk box under the needle for a spacer to richen up the mid range.
Tuning manual for a PZ26 carb ( PZ30 on the DF250RTB looks similar except for 30mm instead of 26mm size) is located at

thanks to jape.
The PZ30 carb version on the DF does not have the rings on the needle therefore a washer or two is needed.
There is a switch on the handlebars that could turn the headlight off if it was wired for countries that do not require a continuously on headlight.
That switch is what is not working. I am going to take the tank off an disassemble the switch to see if there is electricity going threw it.
