It looks like some kind of recirculateing system for emissions. If this doesn't hurt anything I think I am going to get an aluminum hose and run it down.

it is the secondary air injection, make a plate with a gasket and block it off.
Air injection for what? It went into some kind splitter one hose went no where the other back in the intake.
Hey guys, I've been reading all over this thread and have obtained a lot of really useful information. I live in Texas, and I'm currently saving up to purchase this bike from Scooter Depot.
Barnone, I have a question for you. How exactly did you rejet the carb? Did you just switch out the 88 for the 100, or did you switch out any other jets? :P
Oh, and what top speeds are y'all getting with your bikes? Can it go at highway speeds?
Mine has a top GPS speed of 65 with a 100 jet, 35t sprocket and that hose I still don't know the name of off.
Was that the only jet you switched out? Is it difficult to switch them out? ...and one more question (lol)... do carb jets need to be regularly replaced, or is it essentially an "upgrade"?
Mine came with a 105 jet, which I an going to switch back. It is just an upgrade thing. You should not have to do it again.
Yes that's the only one I did and it Is very easy.
I just need to be sure that I can travel at highway speeds, so anything that can up my top speed would be great.
