Considering the amount out tax our gov charges, the price isn't really that bad compare to some other bikes in china.
You'll need to phone the number on the website and ask about the location, there isn't a shop, all the bikes sit in the dealers private garage..

Re: Your Chinese Dual sport picture thread
OK, thanks for the link.
Wonder what other bikes they can bring over here to get legally plated. I'm looking for a '12 WR250X now. It'd be awesome if they do the orders.

Quite sure Jimmy (Joy Motor Shanghai) and a few other parallel importers (BJ+SHA) can get any bike into ML China with the full legal documents to get bikes legally plated and rego'ed.
Bear in mind, you need to pay to play over here......
KTM will launch the bike range soon through one of the China bike manufacturers.

Re: Your Chinese Dual sport picture thread

Re: Your Chinese Dual sport picture thread
Dear Neeko,
Welcome to MCM. Can you find a Vehicle Identification Number on your bike? And an engine number? These will help solve the mystery. I'm sure someone here will know who makes the Motomel.
Please post up some pix and reports on your riding in Argentina!
Cheers!

Re: Your Chinese Dual sport picture thread
That’s a nice dual sport, what is the VIN and we can tell you who manufactures the bike. The number on the frame, what is stamped in the metal.

fixing up my 2001 zongshen 200gy-2
most of the plastic had been smashed up or scuffed so I went with a lifan 150 side panels.
Attachment 10748
I have a new headlight on the way due to the fact the mounting brackets on the original one had snapped off
Attachment 10746
new tail lights orded as well, the big red rectangle wasn't cuttin it and also got damaged.
Attachment 10747
I cured the airbox tube plague that has pissed many owners of zongshen's by simply pulling the tube out to the second lip and using boat sealant around the edges of the lip to stick it in place :naughty:

Re: Here's my Chinese motorbike.
Speaking of Qingqis, I've just almost finished reviving the original MCM QM250GY and will be going on a trip to guilin and yangshuo on it at the end of the week!
Attachment 12875
This is what it looked like a few weeks ago, I'd removed the rear luggage rack etc and fixed lots of electrical and mechanical stuff as well as replaced the faded and crap looking hand guards. it basically still looked stock except for some custom (but broken and not working) rear tail light that the previous owner had attached.
Attachment 12873
I went for a two-tone look since I hated the original colour but have to keep it sort of orange for registration purposes
Attachment 12872
I also removed all the lame decals etc, completely re-wired the electrics (got rid of a lot of extra shit and corroded rusty wires)
Attachment 12874
Fixed a big oil leak on the gear shaft seal, new chain, new coil, new spark plug, added a bike alarm.. restored the rear mudguard and put the license plate back on. I've ordered the front and rear upgraded brakes, but I don't think they'll arrive in time for my trip unfortunately... oh well (the brakes really suck and the rear one exploded... more in my upcoming rr)
