My shop is just off Jing Shun Road in Sunhe. Next door to the Hercules Gast Station. Right near the river crossing. I have Morfar's original and 1 copy. There is a shop at Pinnacle Plaza about 5 minutes away that will copy for RMB 20 each if you're interested. It's a good DVD (or AVI!) asll in Chinese.

Does anyone know if the Takl Rally is still scheduled to go on this year?
:confused1:

I don't know. At least we can't access their website, which is apparently hosted in Urumqi. But all Internet-Connection to Urumqi are cut off, due to the recent 'incidents' there.
You may contact Rick or ask Mofar (Torben), I assume they have telephone numbers and the organizer of the Rallye has also an office in Beijing, as far as I know.
However, we (Mofar, Rick, me and a few more guys from BJ) have given up the idea of joining the Taklimakan-Rally this year, due to what happended there, and we're bit concerned about our safety.
I dont know if there will be any rally this year - but as Peter wrote, we have decided to stay away from troubles.
It's ok for me risking the life riding a motorcycle in the desert - but, no way I will be in the middle of a local "etnic war".....
For me it was a hard decision to take - I have prepared a lot and already spend a lot of money - but: safety first!!
I think I will give up the Chinese rally next year too and instead look for the Mongolian rally in August 2010.
My new KTM 530 will arrive in 2 weeks - it comes with Supermotard setup and I am planning to try the tarmac, before I build on all the rally equipment.
Thanks for the input fellas. It certainly seems to be a less than ideal time to be running around that part of the country! Please keep us posted on any events you guys do enter.

It doesn't look good over there.
Well Chromed,
Let's just say it's a complicated place with thousands of years of history which comes from rugged people and rugged lands.
Would be nice if the Rally went on at least in 2010.
