There are some Qingqi 250's in the US...

I am surprised to see these as Qingqi-branded here in the US. Not sure if these are a fluke (i.e. one-container special) or the start of something promising, but I might just have to make a trip to San Diego and a ride back...:riding:

Nice find, culcune. I noticed that the headlight and tail light are the same as the Konker that was sold in Canada. The headlight has adjustability while the tail light is not LED. Also, HOLY CRAP! IT HAS AN OILER COOLER!
Re: There are some Qingqi 250's in the US...
Good eye on the similarities and oil cooler! I have to admit that I never really researched the Konkers since they were not available in the US, and the Qlinks were (still are). I really hope these are here to stay, and I did try to call JP this morning, but forgot about the 1 hour time difference, so will wait until they are open, LOL.

Maybe Pitsterpro offers them to its dealers in the USA? Maybe they are distributing them in a limited number to any Pitsterpro dealer that wants them….they imported some for the Canadian market.
JP Motorsports is also a Pisterpro dealer.

I wonder what the story is with these bikes--I hope it is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg so they will be available in all 50 states en masse like the Qlink 200s were (Canada is already taken care of by Pitster Pro).

I think that they are or were samples that may have went to Konker? Then when Konker went out of business….Jpmotorsports picked them up at an auction….maybe.
Konker never embraced the odd shaped headlight on the motard, they only offered the square shaped light offered on the dual sport, they also opted for a standard taillight over the LED.
I think they are orphans…there is no formal distributor in the USA for those, they do have an EPA certificate though, so they are legal and can be registered. I would not recommend trying to do that yourself though with an MSO, the naming conventions may confuse the hell out of any local DMV.
I also cannot see any way for them to have a warranty or support of one….the biggest reason anyone buys new is a warranty.

This is all conjecture…but what you get when they do not tell you what they are doing and who is doing it.

Nima naderi, thank you for the photos of the Iranian version. Are the bikes Qingqi branded there? I could not get the photos to come up larger on my computer :confused1:
MJH, you have a very solid theory. However, I wonder how they are able to sell them in California as 2011's? But they do look awfully similar to Konker as you and David3921 pointed out, right down to the non-LED taillight.
I will try to get some info on the bikes, but with California's time being an hour behind mine for the next 6 months, it will be hard to coordinate calling JP and talking to the man, Smitty (working in a state prison makes calling very difficult, indeed :eek2::eekers:)
Re: There are some Qingqi 250's in the US...
OK, nima naderi, I was able to get into the photos, and I see the Iranian version has the diamond-shaped headlight and LED taillight.
Is the brand name 'Pishro' or is that the model's name? I also saw the name 'Gold' as well as the familiar 'QM 250' How are these bikes regarded in Iran?
Re: There are some Qingqi 250's in the US...
The model has a 2011 EPA certificate BDFRC.249GYB-001, it is valid only on 2011 models and is for all 50 states.
