Honda CB500X available in China?

Like in the subject. I thought they are not here. I must have missed something. Good news

They must be expensive to allow some 2nd rate Chinese company to have the lions share of the market.

You'll find some Zongshen, Shinray, Loncin or other dipshit company makes an exact copy of this for 40,000 but falls apart after 2 years and is totally unrideable after 5 years. Everyone buys those as very few can afford the real thing.

Its not the kind of bike Id like to have but since the one Id like is not available in China I was happy to hear about the CB500X. Unfortunately 72k is too steep. I just didnt get over the tax issue yet. Cant justify the extra cost. Id seriously think about it if it were 60k

71k is a lot, considering you still need to spend another 20k for the proper upgrade kit. And then you still need to add decent luggage.

Bike's not even worth 50,000 yuan. In the UK it's costs 5600 pounds, but that's with EU import taxes, dealer mark-ups a REAL warranty and 20% VAT sales tax. In China it should come into the dealer and be sold for 50,000 RMB sticker price on the shop floor.

It's actually the fault of the west to allow the Chinese to export millions of bikes but import one and suddenly 50% or more tax is added. The west is gutless and doesn't demand a level playing field. It's also the fault of Honda for being a pathetic company. A company that shouts 'motorcycles first, cars 2nd' and has a factory in Guangzhou where they banned all motorcycles and are going to ban all ebikes. They should have said 'ban bikes and we shut down the car factory bitches'. But they are so weak and hopeless that they let their own supposed principles and be walked all over.

We've thrashed this subject to death of these boards, always ending up frustrated and angry.

I want the CB500X, but I'll never buy one for that cost, and from such a spineless company as Honda.

I bought myself a CB500X though several months back, in the land of smiles (LOS)... given the changes in the Thai regulations curtailing the easy movement of vehicles into the country (especially targeted to vehicles arriving from PRC). While this might be relaxed somewhat, I decided to just buy a nicely farkled CB500X... and be done with it.

BikerDoc post are no good with out pictures I have heared you say many times here before on MCM.

Love to see some lovely pictures of your new Honda CB500X from the land of smiles mate.
I could stand a better chance to keep up with you now it being only a 500cc lol
