I am not crazy for a 400cc single, but if I was to design a bike around that engine then….
First looks at a CB1300 Honda…

Then looks at this little mini CB130….

cb130 by mjhirz, on Flickr
A 400cc single of the Mini would be very cool…but bigger with 17" rims.
So would a water cooled 250...

Not Italian, Taiwan.

one word Rossimama...no space, only sounds Italian.
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
I like the design elements, but it too small ,the big tires could be 17” like the types seen on a typical Motard.
http://tw.bid.yimg.com/users/5/1/6/7...__1940_3-3.jpg
A 223cc version and also a s 400cc version, that looks like that, but just bigger, about the size of a typical motard, I like the standard look and the custom parts, it just the little bike is just a mini, it is not impossible to make a standard with fatter tires and a bigger frame and use the 223cc and 400cc engines. Then that would be a line of model that would cover a bigger range of customers. I do not like the tail end though.
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
I like Shineray....they make this model which really is very appealing to me.

They sell these in Argentina as a RX150 Sport for $1,800.00 USD.
I think the Chinese models look better...they also have the CVTT engine in the Chinese bikes.

Shineray has added some new models to its website…the website is total crap and has only little images and no information. This company should fire who ever is in charge of marketing, they totally suck at it.

The other sites (above) server is also hosting malware and has been for sometime.
The main site layout is not bad it is just that it does not work, clicking on models only works in IE but all all of the field are blank. In Mozilla and Google browsers clicking on a link for a model details only presents and endless progress meter and never loads.
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
Here is the name of a Trading company claiming to be offering some of these Xinyuan and Xingue as well the 250cc twin Huansong bike; Jinua Wuchen Green Co., LTD
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
Shineray has update its Chinese website, its actually very well done.
Xinyuan Motorcycle Company LTD dropped nearly 12% of its production for the first half of 2013.
They have a few new offerings, one of is a dual sport that hosts their 230cc OHC single, the JP250 engine. That follows the design theme of the XY400 single.

Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
Honda made that very simple model in a lot of colors, they typically offered different colors with each year.
They stopped making them just a couple of years ago, they now offer different 400s one of which is the CB400F which is the same as the CB500F made in Thailand, the CB500F is really a 470cc the scaled down versions are always specific for Japan that has high insurance rates for over 400cc.
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
They are calling them the ChungKing 400B, kind of a tongue in cheek name no?
http://www.shineray-atv.com/UpLoad/20135288849461.jpg
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
They are also now offering the DOHC engine in a sport bike.
http://www.shineray-atv.com/UpLoad/201352884850183.jpg
These are are sharing parts with the Daelim VJF250. The Daelim is offered in the UK through MotoGP OTR 2,999.00 Sterling, $4,880.00 USD, its EFI and EIII compliant.
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
The radial four valve is hardly the perfect engine for a sport bike. However in the Chinese motorcycle industry there are no hard rules, so they are working on a Aldine 400c according to some Brazilians?
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4285/...024dc2fb_z.jpg
Basically a GS500 without the twin...with a honda 400cc single instead.

Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
With their average unit selling out of the factory for under $550.00 USD Xinyuan is selling allot of cheap bikes someplace? Very cheap actually, but not having all the data we cannot see how many of 250 DOHC they sold and for how much, but with such a low stated average unit value it seems the higher cost bikes are fractional to what they sell for much less. But then accountancy in China is different and I’ve been informed that China does not count a CKD as an exported motorcycle which is likely how they ship them to Brazil. The sales would be recorded as parts and so would the revenue, probably.
Moral of the story is that selling more substantial offerings, less of them and selling them for more money and with the same margins retains the same total revenue. In example 2% of 2000 or 2% of 500, ratio is that of 1:4 or could say a 75% reduction in production units and retain the same total revenue. Then could also say that with less production you cut labor and let the worst workers go and give the rest a raise. Then the margin on each could go up if you cut cost and retain consistent revenue streams.
Did I get any of this wrong or is it all Chinese for some?
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
The Aldene/Chief/Roadwin seems to me to be based on a Suzuki GS500, the frame seems to be.

Dailem uses a different 125 then the Shineray. MotoGP sells these in the UK for 2,229 Sterling they have EFI.
Re: Shineray 重庆鑫源摩托车股份有限公司
The 400B looks like a nice bike. Exhaust seems a bit of a Friday arvo job though, but at least it won't burn a hole in your saddlebag. With a pair of decent shocks , good tires a nice can and maybe some lower bars , one could go far ...
