Re: CF650TK ECU remove potting compound
If you have the Ducati ECU vs Bosch ECU, then you'll likely find ongoing ECU problems with the former ECU brand. CFMoto eventually went with Bosch on the later models ~(2015/16), due to the unreliable nature of the Ducati ECUs used through the CFMoto model range. I've replaced my Ducati ECUs on my 650TR (TK) and Jetmax maxi scoot, when both Ducati ECUs died. FYI the Ducati and Bosch ECU aren't interchangeable so the Ducati ECUs will remain an issue, as can be seen on some of the OZ motorcycle forums - guys seeking advice with 650NK or TKs suffering dead ECUs on the older models. I didn't think that the ECU internals would be repairable or know of anyone capable. Didn't give the ECUs a second thought, but now that you've mentioned it, maybe it's worthwhile bringing the ECUs outside of China and taking them to a company like ECUnleashed or similar. Let us know how you get on with this. I'm back in China in Jan '20 so I may very well carry the ECUs out with me to a shop in either SEA or OZ I'll report back on how I get on if I do.

Hi, what kind of replacement? Original ducati or aftermarket? Any links to your replacement product ecu?

Re: CF650TK ECU remove potting compound
I’ve just opened the ecu and can see that an attempt to repair has been made previously and I’ll try and diagnose/fix it. See the following video though: https://youtu.be/YDglRxyOBc4
I believe the other option is to fit a Bosch ecu and the latest throttle bodies - I’ve contacted wk/quadzilla so waiting for their advice. Has anyone done this work?

OEM, since I was able to source directly from factory (inside PRC). Still expensive but less so than being outside the country

Got in to mine, Capacitors and regulator are OK, not working at all now, it was working but errors 47 and 48 and side stand not cutting out engine when gear engaged

I have ordered 2 days ago. There are still some available. Original should be the same mapping like ducati , adjusted should be improved. The seller opened sales after he got the new batch of them. Waiting now for delivery.

The new Ducati is the same one like original, so it will fail one day, or they also improved that one?

All Ducati branded ECU for the CfMoto models are the same... there's been no upgrade or changes since... which is why CFMoto went to Bosch

I bought it for 480 eur, including customs clearance etc. I have ordered because I thought, it would solve my issues with unstable idling and stalling. Has not. It works plug and play, but you need to calibrate TPS to it. I am now going to try to change injector or coils. With this ECU bike works smoother and also seems to be reacting faster to idling issue. It is much lighter than Ducati ECU. The seller on AliExpress offers 2 versions, with original software and adjusted. I got the adjusted one.

How do you calibrate the TPS?
What’s the difference with the adjusted one??

You need to go to CF dealer and connect the ECU to OBD diagnosis. They can calibrate. Otherwise it will show TPS error via FI indication. Option is to get OBD somewhere with the SW Dr it.
Adjusted one has different fuel map loaded, that is more optimized for performance. Original one has the same map as Ducti ECU. But both should be more stable than Ducati, as whole electronic board is completely resigned.

Ahhh that sounds better!!
PDA tool is mega expensive and not available; what’s SW Dr it? I’m used to use OBDII, VAG COM, TuneEcu, etc,… what program and cable would I need to use?

I don't know. I just drove to local CF Moto dealership and they calibrated TPS for me. Under the seat, there is. Free cable with the connector, that one connects to. But as I saw, it is not one typical one, so adapter is needed. Basically you need something, that can not only read, but also write the data i thing. If the TPS values are not much out of line, then it works fine, have not seen difference before and after calibration. But if it is too much, then it could make probably issues with the smooth engine running.

The adapter cable for ODBII is a Fiat car one
