China motorcycle driving license: written test question bank?
I'm getting ready to take the written test here in Wuhan. I'm looking for the 800-question bank (from which 100 random questions will be chosen). Anyone know where I can find this on the internet? I already have the car ("motor vehicle") question bank, but I need the motorcycle question bank.
Thanks
Dan

Took the test here in Nanjing three weeks ago. The test is in Chinese here so I hired "official translator" and she helped a lot. Best RMB500 I ever spent in China. If Wuhan has similar services, I highly recommend ponying up the cash.

I took the test today. It was in English.
Road test in five days, then another road test after that.

This is China. Things are not standardized for sure. I was fortunate, only had to translate my USA license and take the written test. Good luck and do not give up. TIC

The English versions are readily available, so it seems like the license office there in Nanjing has a little money-on-the-side thing going on.
I don't have a motorcycle license from any country, so I have to take the road tests.

No idea what the difference is but I been here 6 years and finally took care of getting legal. It was worth every penny to be done and over quickly. It took two days to get the paperwork needed agreed upon but I was in and out 1/2 day after that. The lady who translated for me made it easy. Good luck to you.

Here in Wuhan, as of April 1 this year, non-Wuhan residents (including foreigners) can apply for motorcycle licenses. That's why I'm finally taking the tests.
Congrats on your license, it must make riding a better experience, what with not having to worry about getting stopped by police and all.
Re: China motorcycle driving license: written test question bank?
To be honest, I have always been treated like a king here. I have only been stopped once and the guy just told me to get a plate for my CJ750. Very nice about it. I am sure Wuhan has lots of stories to tell. You are farther up river than I am. I hope you enjoy your time riding. Let me know if you get to Nanjing.

I rode 6500 km through southwest China, got stopped twice. Both times I just was friendly and pretended to not speak Chinese. The first time, got a 500 rmb fine, the second time the police let me go with a smile.
Thanks for the welcome... same to you re: Wuhan!

This is the normal procedure if you DON'T have a foreign dl.

This is the process when you have a foreign dl.
However, as mentioned TIC, every village different rules :icon10:
P.S. Not all cities are allowed to issue driving licenses to foreigners. Usually the provincial capitals as well as other large cities should be allowed.

Just to ask, where, in Wuhan, did you go to take the test? I have only been to Wuhan a few times and do not know the city that well. I do have a motorcycle endorsement on my US license.

Dear Hasaf,
Welcome to the forum. Any reason why you can't take the test there in Xinyang? If they cannot offer the test to you in English, as the vehicle management offices in major cities can, you can probably request that a translator be present when you take the test in Chinese. If so, just make sure that your translator knows all the right answers!
As for Wuhan, I think we have a handful of members in Wuhan, and hopefully they'll come forward with the info you need about testing there.
You are fortunate to have a valid US motorcycle license. This will save you all the pain and suffering of the mandatory "riding school" for the unlicensed. With the US endorsement, all you'll need do is get 90 or higher on the written exam.
Good luck.
What do you do there in southern Henan, and what do you, or will you, ride?
cheers

Hasaf,
I took the test in Hanyang. There's a traffic bureau located about 200 m west (away from the Yangtze river) of Wang jia wan (王家湾), on the left. That was about a year ago.
