These may exist in the Chinese community, somewhere, somehow, but this is the first I have seen anywhere in China that has a "foreign-friendly" twist to it.

Looks like fun, nice little video Sabine. Did you know the background music comes from Jim's (and my) home state of New Hampshire? Coincidence?
Cheers!

that I didn`t know, it`s coincidence. It`s hot summer in Beijing and the song fits fine.

Haha ... Sabine, you made me a celebrity too!! I'm in the movies now ... ah, fame, fortune. If my momma could see me now! Next, I want to be on "The Cover of the Rolling Stone" (well, The Beijinger might suffice)
Always interesting times at Jim's ... that guitar in the video was brought over by Mike from Gibson Guitars ... it is an original 1936 Gibson Century of Progress, currently owned by Elvis Costello (I tried to steal it, but Mike's got eyes like a hawk).
C u folks on Saturday.

Re: Beijing Bikers Party & Swap Meet
Sunday, 3rd July 2010, the Iron Horse Saloon has had it`s grand opening. it was a very hot day with temperatures above 40 degree/C. we enjoyed cold drinks, the "new born" Iron Horse Revival Band, Rock`n Roll and the sound of our motorbikes.
a fine Biker Batch and we all are waiting for the next one.
(streaming is a little bit slow this days. let it run a little bit, wait a moment and pull the "Timeline Button" back to the beginning.)

Re: Beijing Bikers Party & Swap Meet
Sabine, another great video job!! Thanks for doing this, but we rarely see YOU in any of the videos. Next time, we'll swap my guitar for your camera, and maybe I can capture you serenading us with some great European songs?!
In fact, the "band" is playing next Thursday night (with a special, surprise guest appearance), so maybe You, Thomas and Andy can harmonize on vocals ... we'll follow. Everyone is invited to witness this rare and wonderful occurrence!
As before, always good food, good drink, good people, and good times at the Iron Horse Saloon ... a million thanks to Jim Bryant & his wife Jiao for making it happen ... and to their talented son, Eric, on guitar! (Another Eric Clapton in the making, complete with a Fender Strat).

Re: Beijing Bikers Party & Swap Meet
Sabine, great video - job well done! The opening party looked like a lot of fun, and well attended with a great selection of bikes. The band sounded fab too, though I wonder what time of the day that was held, as it seems quite early? Anyway I'm envious... ;)

Re: Beijing Bikers Party & Swap Meet
Absolutely!
The "Beijing Dragons" usually have a little ride around the mountains outside Beijing each Wednesday and/or Sunday (weather permitting), and then we pick up our guitars on Thursday evenings at the Iron Horse Saloon, usually starting around 5:00 or 6:00.
The rides usually start at Jim's (Iron Horse Saloon) at 0900. You can call/SMS any of us for additional details and confirmation.
Looking forward to meeting you.

Re: Beijing Bikers Party & Swap Meet
Thanks to the old guy that I had a chance to see Jim's creation and had a fun day in Beijing.
Your daughter "OK, let's see what this baby will do!" (look at her facial expression - priceless!) :riding:
Your wife "If my baby gets hurt, we're getting a divorce" :crider888:
Jim "If MY baby gets hurt, its sold!" :deal:
You "Increase throttle softly, in baby steps" :scooter:
Me (taking the picture) "What a bunch of babies - go for it!" :wheelchair:
Always good times at Jim's, courtesy the Beijing Dragons MC club.

Re: Beijing Bikers Party & Swap Meet
Hi Richard,
I am glad that you like the RR.
I am now busy preparing my bike for the Sep. Xinjiang trip. Got to have it done properly for this adventure touring trip or you may never see me again.
HOGHD will also have a big party at Huangshan during the nation holiday and I was also invited. Can't make it as I shall be hitting the trails near Mongolia border at that time.
I have sent you e-mail about modifications of the JH600 but didn't get your reply. Please check and let me know.
