Darn that Dan Hicks & Big Band was good xD Reminded me of Ismo Alanko or 22-Pistepirkko, but they try to be too serious. Dan Hicks was relaxedly crazy and had very cool chicks, something 22-Pistepirkko and Ismo misses. Will have to check the local library if they have Darn Hicks, which I bet they don't.

You'll be delighted to learn that Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks are still alive and kickin'. He's got a very deep and loyal following in many countries in Europe, as well as Japan and Australia, where there's even a Dan Hicks tribute band. Despite the whole costume schtick, his music is extremely refined and his players are top drawer. The violinist with the long blond hair, for example, was born Gary Pozzi, but goes by Sid Page and is probably the top studio violinist in Hollywood. Any fan of Ismo Alanko would be committing a serious crime by missing a concert by Dan Hicks, if he ever passes through your town.
And I'd bet my last nickel that he's in the local library...

This song is actually not that great, but the video is worth seeing! Insanly well coordinated rube goldberg machine!
Haha, that Rube Goldberg machine made me to think Chinese Bike production lines. Everything happens in there after being triggered by some other event. Also it reminded me of "Butterfly Effect" in chaos theory, meaning a dog barking in China can cause a tornado in USA (:rolleyes1:) That video though actually does not demonstrate Butterfly Effect because there is only one possible outcome, but the secuence of events it does demonstrate.
