Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Found this helmet and I want one. Problem is that they were discontinued about a year or so ago.
Attachment 3075
It's a Marushin X-Moto Squadron in Black. I need it in a Large size. Anyone who can find a New Old Stock and is willing to ship it to me, let me know. I am in the US.

Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Ouch! That is disappointing, sorry. I saw all the sizes in the dropdown for FC but didn't try and buy of course.
Try an email to the Amazon shop, I managed to open an account and put one (L) in my basket but did not proceed further
I sent you an email offering help, I don't speak much german but I succeeded in this, so do persevere (they probably speak much better english than I do german)
but I did see they DO post to USA for 30 euros.
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
I got to that point as well, but then I can not figure out what to do. I think I will give this a run tomorrow afternoon and see what I can come up with. I might have to watch ebay uk and maybe talk to some of my old triumph friends in the UK.
If all else fails, I guess I can custom paint a US Spec helmet.
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Ok, if you cannot figure out the '1 click' stuff, then down below the RH side it says
Verschicken Sie einen E-Mail-Gutschein für dieses Produkt which basically means 'send an email about this product' which brings up a form, unless I misunderstood everything! Give it a try or if you don't get anywhere, I have contacted them in schoolboy german with this link! i enjoy this stuff.
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
If you want to try your "schoolboy German" LOL, then I will wait a few days. Thanks for the help.

Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
My answers to you keep disappearing, maybe they will all turn up together.
I sent off a request for you saying I had a friend in USA wants one, and that if they have an english speaker, that they can look at this thread!
Entschuldigung sie mir bitte, mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut! Mein freund in USA willst diese Helme kaufen.
Vieleicht jemand spricht Englisch?
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Cool. I will even toss my spam email in here. ernhrtus@yahoo.com I look at it if I know something is coming. I'll go clear it out right now.
Thank You!
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Hey Roger,
my German is a bit more up to date then jap's so I had a short look.
Amazon only provides the plattform, the real seller is this:
LBM Biker's Outfit
Friedrich-Wilhelms-Bleiche 8a
33649 Bielefeld
fon - 0521 / 452435
fax - 0521 / 452878
mail: info@lbm-shop.de
Contact them directly via that email - I'm sure some one will speak good enough english. Can also try to get better prices directly...I have seen other shops for 119 Eur but not available in L

Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Any luck getting one yet? There are plenty of these helmets on taobao here in china:
http://s.taobao.com/search?q=%C2%ED%...style=grid&s=0
Maybe you can find one of those websites that help people living abroad buy things from taobao. I think we have a UK member on these boards that successfully did it.
I own that helmet myself, i've had it for about a year and a half. It's pretty decent, quality is not the best and a few of the trimmings and stuff are falling off. The little black tab on the visor that helps you pull it up fell off too. Still useable though.
I'd say the main thing that bothered me instantly about this helmet is the visor. It's a very elongated shape to fit over the mouth guard, this means you get a lot of unwanted reflections on both sides of the visor, ESPECIALLY at night. Driving in town at night it can be very distracting as there are reflections of lights all over your peripheral vision. The weird shape of the visor also brings about a bit of distortion in what you see. I have gotten used to both of those things and i guess i automatically correct for it now, but when i put on a normal helmet i'm always amazed at how much better the view is!
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Is that website saying its 560 yen? That is like 7 bucks in US Dollar
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Thats Yuan - Chinese Yuan - CNY, aka RMB - RenMinBi - Chinese Money, not Japanese money ;-)
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
Ok, so about 90 bucks or so. If you have one, is it worth it? Is the construction that of a $90 helmet? Would i be better buying something else over here and painting it?
Honestly I just like the paintjob a lot.

Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
That would be nice, still OK at $85.
maybe try http://taobaofocus.com/order
I haven't used them (yet) but others have recommended them and the site seems clear and concise

However a flat black one somewhere local would certainly have the right safety ratings for your state/country.
Mine, fully safety rated, full face with visor was only AU$60. But you get what you pay for past that point, and usually you get stickers all over them from the manufacturers! Mine is plain black but I have stuck black(white reflective) tape on it.
It wouldn't take much to get a good image printed as a sticker, cheap enough in print shops if you get a good high res image - you can also do that on your home computer printer with the right decal sheet, about a dollar or two each last time I did it, laser or inkjet. That way you could do some for the 'bike as well!

Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
I dunno, it's a cheap helmet compared to the bigger brands. Construction wise, you get what you pay for. My biggest gripe is the visibility, but i mean you can still out of it! I don't love it or hate it, it's a decent helmet. I also mainly bought it because it looks cool, you can probably find a better helmet for that money but it'll look like everything else...
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
At risk of leading this thread astray, I've been trying to find a local supply of the Scorpion EXO 900 "transformer" helmet, which in one of its permutations does look a bit like the NOS. Well maybe not. But the girl is obviously well qualified.

There are tons of listings for this helmet in taobao and the price is pretty nice at 950 RMB (US$144), but no one I've contacted has had any stock.
I really want to try a convertible helmet, and this is even better since you can pull the chin piece off altogether and use it in open-face mode with the flip-down shades.
cheers
Re: Looking for a NOS Dual sport Helmet
If you do not find one over there, I can look around over here for you, then ship it.
