NEW Mirrors on my Qlink XF200
Re: NEW Mirrors on my Qlink XF200
Sure they look cool, but do they work? Can you see anything out of them?
Re: NEW Mirrors on my Qlink XF200
felix - I have others asking the same thing. The answer is yes. They work just fine for me. I can behind me and sides absolutely just fine. I have read most taller riders have issues with the OEM Mirrors not being able to see past thier shoulders. Fortunately I'm Short. I'm 5'4" Short I mean tall.....LOL I had one other person tell me once I started riding the bike I would be moving them. What the hecks the difference wether I'm sitting on the bike or going down the road? As long as I can see out behind myself right? Anyways - yes they work well for me. In fact I can see much better with these type mirrors becuase of the fish eye type view that they give. Way better then the OEM Mirrors. I think it comes down to rider comfort, size of the rider. Hope this gives a reasonable explanation on the functionality of these mirrors for me.

Cool, glad to hear it. Just wondering, do they show you the reflection in between your arms and your body, or are you looking over your arms like with regular mirrors?
Re: NEW Mirrors on my Qlink XF200
Only see whats behind me, I do see my index finger knuckle on my hands but other then that, I only see whats behind me. This may vary depending on riders height and size though. Thats my guess. If one were to try thses on the bars and they didn't work for them, then mount them were they were meant to be mounted - at the end of the bars. Mounting them there would be no question becuase the the out most mounting point on any bike.

Very good looking bike you have.
Re: NEW Mirrors on my Qlink XF200
You sure moved your brake and clutch levers inboard with the mirrors and hand guards. Surprised you can reach them.
Still don't see how you can get a rear view.
Re: NEW Mirrors on my Qlink XF200
hAHAHAHA - I Know everyone is saying the same, but I can. Not sure how else to explain it? Hows that Bobber? Still waiting for the weather to give me a even semi decent day here in NW Pennsylvania. We are supposed to get 6+ inches of fresh new snow between now and saturday morning. I hate it. :( Bike has beeen virtually ready to fire up and go now for over a week. Seems as soon as the opportunity hits, it changes just as fast! Next week forecast looks ok, so i am hoping. Even if I have to take time away from the business I'm going riding damn it! LOL I guess thats a perk of being your own boss right? lol. After all I have a couple good employees who can keep thing rolling. Thats why I pay them! :) Have a great day.

I'm always surprised after adjusting the mirrors in the shop how far they are off when I go for a ride.

Re: NEW Mirrors on my Qlink XF200
A serious comment or two, I have a lot of experience now over a couple of months of bar mirrors and ordinary mirrors. I really think the pic you get in the bar mirror is badly distorted for distance, things seem much farther away than they are, and on the road with vibration you do NOT see enough size to see or judge correctly what is coming up or happening behind. They are a very good adjunct in traffic but not a replacement in my view.
And that position, even though it works for you would give a small but real risk of your fingers being crushed or chopped in an off, if the bars are pinned against a tree or vehicle and you are grabbing the brake and clutch levers, especially as I am not sure the hand-guards without the end fixing will not also fold in on you, in a major crash.

i'll be sure and keep all that in mind jape - Thanks.

It looks very nice JTC. One who has made it, he is great. Mirrors are increasing looks in your bike. When i seen first image than i was thinking that can you see behind view, but as u shared image of your mirror view, i can only say that its superb !
